More than 130 people and police were recognized for going above the call of duty. Among those singled out at the ceremony were the officers who saved one of their own after a suspect shot him on duty over the summer. 05 applause applause 8 officers and a Communications Operator got a standing oviation when they got their award. They helped save officer brandon barawski back in july after a gunman ambushed him then shot him several times. Baranowski called for help johnson and x put pressure on help got there. At least 100 different units showed up to the call on july 17officer James Johnson was there for the whole incident. Scary, thats all i can say but im glad it turned out the way it did a lot of things turned out in our favorwere celebrating the fact that officer is still alive, he was nearly murdered that night. And the quick thinking of our officers were able to end the threat but also get the medical attention he needed to survive.
