Nine on your sides tom mckee says an intense manhunt for this man and an important tip put the alleged assailant behind bars on multiple charges. Ripley Police Officer john amole is out of the hospital, but will need surgery to repair his broken jaw and nose. The man accused of causing those injuries is at the Brown County Jail on a two Million Dollar bond. Bond. Only nine on your side was there thursday as kyle moore appeared confused and sobbed into his hands thursday in brown county courthe was arraigned on charges that included assaulting Ripley Police officer john amole. Trouble began wedensday night in ripley when officer amole encountered moore while checking a report of taking a womans belongings. It turns out, moore was also a wanted man for obstruction of justice. Justice. Going back to jail and officer amole advised the next thing he remembered was waking up on the pavement behind his cruiser. Cruiser. He was dazed and confused and leaning over the cruiser from what i understand, but he had been unconscious at one time. Time. Ripleys corey herron says officer amoles jaw was broken in two places, his nose in three places and his service resolver taken. Taken. Around noon on thursday an alert resident of the ohio valley nursing home spotted moore, called police and moore was taken into custody. Custody. Steve . 9 on your side at 7 continues a cincinnati native who was heading home from a College Mission trip in honduras never made it. Olivia erhardt was killed in a crash on her way to the airport. Erhardt was a 2014 graduate of Mariemont High School and was currently a sophomore at columbia university. She was in honduras volunteering for the us based global brigades. Erhardt and two other students were in a van that was taking them to the airport when it sustained some sort of mechanical issue and swerved off the road. All three students were killed. Luke wiseman former teacher 9 11 she lived, in my opinion, a life that was admirable and honorable and i cant imagine anyone not that. There will be a Community Memorial service for olivia at Mariemont High School on saturday, january 23rd at 930 am, in the schools auditorium. A Northern Kentucky home is destroyed by fire. Firefighters say a mother and her three kids were inside their Latonia Lakes home when it caught fire. They were able to get out. The mom suffered minor injuries. A grant county man is convicted in a 2014 double murder and will likely spend the rest of his life in prison. A jury to find shaun hiles guilty in the shooting death of his estranged wife nicole and her friend larry whitaker. Police say he then turned the gun on himself, but survived. The defense claimed hiles was emotionally unstable at the time. But a jury disagreed. Tonight families of the victims tell 9 on your side their relieved and grateful for the conviction. For someone that took my daughters life and one of her friends. It was a terrible way to end the life but thai so what you get when you kill two innocent people. People. The jury recommended hiles receive the maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole. A judge will officially confirm this sentence at a later date. An illegal immigrant is being sentenced to two years in prison for sexually assaulting a woman in mason. Mason. Juan Carlos Alvarez chavez was arrested last august. A Woman Told Police that he assaulted her at the mason inn. Alvarezchavez was victims underwear. After serving his sentence he will be deported back to mexico. A teen is in jail charged with killing a west chester teen. Justin koch was arrested earlier today. He faces murder and aggravated burglary charges. Tyler kassow was shot inside this home on north pisgah road around 330 yesterday.
