Farook was an employee with the county Health Department and witnesses say he left the Holiday Party at the social Services Center after a argument and then returned with his wife both dressed in Tactical Gear armed with rifles and semiautomatic handguns. Nobody just gets upset at a party, goes home an pottle together that kind of an elaborate scheme or plan to do that. There was a plan to do this. Gathering that evidence, they hope it will point to a motive for yesterday shooting at a San Bernardino county christmas party. This home is rented by syed farook and his wife but its unclear if they actually lived here. What investigators have found is this married couple was heavily equipped for an attack. They had an arsenal of firearms inside as investigators found 12 pipe bombs, tools to make ieds and tons of ammo. Also uncovered, critical thats being flown back to a washington lab. Last night, fbi tactical teams entered this home. Witnesses had tipped off police to this address and that led to a chase and gun battle that killed both of these heavily armed suspects. Two Police Officers were also injured in that but expected to be okay. Eye jasmin villareal, cbs 2 news. There are some signs that this attack was tied to terrorism. Two Law Enforcement sources tell cbs news that syed farook had been in contact with someone flagged in the u. S. As terrorism. Also sources say that farook was communicating with people linked to terror overseas. That buildup has been associated with a development of alzheimers. Researchers say a slow gait could signal the possibility of alzheimers before people show clinical symptoms. But a doctor says dont be alarmed if you walk slowly. Theres so many causes of brain function. Reporter what could be happening is that the amyloid protein affects the motor areas of the brain first slowing walking pace. But slow walking could also be due to arthritis, heart or lung problems or just painful feet. Ann worries she could develop alzheimers because both her parents had dementia but so far she and her husband havent slowed down. So youre going to keep it up because of that . Definitely. Heres what we know right now. 14 people were killed and 21 wounded when the suspects, husband and wife, syed farook and Tashfeen Malik, opened fire at a banquet. Tonight there are concerns farook could have become radicalized. Sources say farook was in contact with people overseas with ties to terrorism. According to published reports, the couple met online. The fbi says that malik entered the United States on a fiance visa in july 2014 from saudi arabia. She had a pakistani passport. A search of their home uncovered 12 pipe bombs and more than 3,000 rounds of ammunition. Investigators also found three connected pipe bombs with a remotecontrolled device that apparently malfunctioned. It appears to be a degree of planning that went into this. Nobody just gets upset at a party goes home and puts together that kind of an elaborate scheme or plan to come back and do that. That went into this. Tonight investigators say they do not have any credible information to indicate that there is any threat to anyone in that area. And it is a question that many parents are grappling with these days.
