Police arrested nearly a dozen people today including several of the schools Football Players. They face serious criminal charges including Armed Robbery and burglary. Cbs 2s matt kozar joins us live from the campus in new brunswick. Matt. Reporter alice and dick, the suspects and the victims are either current or former rutgers students. The crimes were talking about home invasions and assaults happened on and off campus. Prosecutors say they have charged 10 people and five of them play football for rutgers. This past april investigators say several rutgers Football Players and two former students attacked and broke the jaw of a 19yearold male student on dellafield street. During three home invasions in april and may including one in a dorm prosecutors say the suspects stole cash and marijuana from students and used a gun, bat and knife as their weapons. Former student and Football Player teajy johnson and a current player andre boggs were charged with Armed Robbery and burglary. In a statement the Athletic Director said, the students involved are currently suspended from our program. We continue to monitor the situation. The arrests come on the heels of an internal investigation of head football coach kyle flood. Nj. First, we are following breaking news tonight. Two members of the coast guard auxilliary reserve have been involved in a Small Plane Crash in new jersey. The pilot reported complete engine failure before hitting the ground at the Cresskill Swim Club around 4 30 this afternoon. Both people survived. You can see one being carried away on a stretcher. Both are conscious. The pilot asked for clearance for teterboro but didnt make it there. Federal investigators are en route to the scene. Both people on board survived.
