Reporter a memo from the district sent on august 30th, and flush each water fountain for two minutes daily before school opens. The same steps applied for prep usage. And principals were instructed to tell students and staff to run fountains for at least 30 seconds before drinking the water. Annual water contamination tests at newarks public december and february. On wednesday, the district turned off water at 30 schools after results revealed unsafe lead levels. Mencys son goes to one of them. I send my son everyday to school to be safe. This is his safe haven. And lead is in his water . Reporter lead in industrying water should not exceed 15 marts her billion. At bard, one sample had 558. Branch brook, 194. Should there be reform on conference tournaments . Or is this kind of the most exciting thing of march . I think this keeps all the teams involved until the very end. And the excitement for every start. You dont want to lose the fan base and excitement early on. And there will be some upset. And probably the no. Shooting for them. All someone has to have is one good night to knock you off. Yeah. And this is kind of what march madness is all about, isnt it . Yeah, it is. Its great. The tournaments, the conference tournaments. The ivy league was the only conference that didnt have a conference tournament. And now this next year theyll have at least four teams in it. Is there anything to be said for the comfort sending their best team out there . Is in most conferences is give you an advantage by either the number of games, time, the rest. And thats supposed to be the offset. Sometimes they plan the home teams court. So thats a great advantage thats one way of protecting your higher seed. Looking through the brackets, weve seen seeds making the cut. Did it surprise you the Selection Committee steered away from some of the smaller conferences . Its kind of the way it goes a lot. They show us the boards with our own team on it and yale was there. They have top 50 losses and wins through 50, 100, 150, and 3 1 2 hundred plus plus. So theyre talking how long the discussions are. So these people put a lot of even though we think we know whats what, they follow teams all year round and they know more. When youre low or mid and dont get in, its tough because youll look at your record and say, man, if we only had the chance to play that team. It doesnt work that way. It must be tough to play there youre never right everybody wants to come down on you. They have contingency plans for every one they do they had 12 contingency plans going into sunday. I think a lot of people wondered whether monmouth should get in with their rpi. Did it feel the conference was snubbed because monmouth wasnt in . Their rpi was good. But nobody will be perfect in their own league. People are going to lose games. So its shame they didnt get in. Would have been great for our league.
