Around 7 30 this Morning Police responded to a call of a child with a selfinflicted gun shot wound here at the training center, and we are told the child is in the hospital in critical condition, and no other information has been released thus far. Lets show you the area shortly after the incident occurred. We arrived ho minutes after the shooting, and you can see 20 to 25 people lined up on the sidewalk. Fat silty was evacuated, and those folks are waiting to be questioned by the police as to what they saw or heard at the time of the incident. Randolph Police Officers here, and the Morris County Sheriffs Department has been here and the Morris County Prosecutors Office has been here as well with the authorities coming and going throughout the evening, and i mentioned a little bit about the facility. The rtsp website says its a 35,000 square foot facility, one shooting range in all of new jersey. Police searched the bushes, trees, and gutters along broadway for a gun. They looked through everything, garbage containers, and they even looked everywhere. Reporter investigators said officers saw the the weapon tossed from a moving van, and when officers tried to stop the vehicle, it took off. The chase zigzagged through harlem. On st. Nicholas they crashed into a drivers ed car and kept going. The chase lasted for 10 minutes and ended with the Police Chasing down two suspects, and one of the men ducked our cameras as he was handcuffed in the back of the cruiser. The other suspect was led into the station house. Its unclear if he was the driver or the passenger. I saw two cars driving really fast in 2 seconds. Reporter jalea saw the pursuit.
