This morning, as many as seven Philadelphia Police officers are off the streets while internal affairs and east detectives investigate the shooting that claimed that injured two people over in kensing toni kensington. The crime scene spread about a sixblock area after attempts by Police Officers to stop a gunman ended in a shootout. Initially, officers attempted to stop the armed male in the 1900 block of clementine. When he ran, officers chase dollars him to the 3,000 block of helen. Investigators say he he he fired at them there. They returned fire, but the gunman continued running to the 2900 block of amber street. These five officers that engaged him at that point in time discharging their weapons, striking the male multiple times in the torso area of the body as well as the lady. We saw as many as 20 casings on the street. Weve learned the gunman is 33 years old in critical but stable condition. Weve learned during this shootout, a woman in her mid 30s was hit in the calf. She has been treated and related from the hospital, as with well. Were going to stay on top of this investigation and let you know the very latest. News from overnight, an investigation is under way after a Cherry Hill Police cruiser and a car crashed on route 70 eastbound near kingston drive. Its unclear what the extent of the injuries may be. Route 70 was shut down for a while, but its now back of. In south philadelphia, investigationers are looking into what caused a brinks armored truck to flip over. Sky force 10 was over the scene just before 11 00 last night. The trucks driver and passengers were able to climb out safely. S. W. A. T. Officers guarded the area while other officers transferred the cash to another armored truck. Nearby a short time later, two drivers slammed into a Police Cruiser at the base of the plat bridge. The road was blocked off because of the brinks truck crash. The drivers of those vehicles near the plat bridge along with the Police Involved were not injured. For more than four decades, the cuban dictator delighted in being a constant thorn in the side of the u. S. President s. Fidel castros revolution was born in the had remote mountains of cuba. A brilliant tactician, his forces swept into havana in 1979. Havana and her people went wiley. They surrounded him, clutched and clawed him. Fidel, our liberator, they roared, fidel, our savior. The 33yearold revolutionary soon proclaimed his marxist beliefs and forged a close alliance with the soviet union that would endure for the remainder of the cold war. The u. S. Struck back, spearhead ago 1961 invasion of cuban exiles at the bay of pigs. Castro personally led the resistance and the American Invasion failed miserably. During the 70s and 80s, castro used his Financial Support from the soviets to promote leftist insurgencies throughout Central America and africa. But as conditions worsened at home, thousands began to flee the island, risking their lives and a 90 mile boat trip to the united states. As the soviet union collapsed, so did cubas economy. With no subsidies, castro is forced to heat the capitalist, asking businesses to invest their western currency in cuba. As time passed, castro began to show the effects of age. He broke his knee and arm in a stumble in 2004. Then two years later, he underwent intestinal surgery. As his health declined, he turned over power to his brother, raul.
