This is a 24hour temperature change, and interestingly, it is 20 degrees warm mer the poconos, and six degree temperature bump in philadelphia, and down in atlantic city, and so it is cooler than it was yesterday compared to today. So we will have showers later tonight. And back to breaking news in the rittenhouse neighborhood, and Philadelphia Police are investigating a deadly stabbing, and Monique Braxton is at the scene, and gathering more information, but monique, fill us in. Hi, rosemary. The forensicinvestigators and the crime scene unit is here investigating. And across from the rittenhouse apartment was a shoe that did the belong to the victim, and near manning street, police say they found a clothing, and they said at some point Good Samaritans took off their clothing in an effort to help him out. They say that the victim was walking with with three other people, and total of two men and two women at 3 00 this morning when they were approached by an unknown man n. A matter minutes he produced a knife and fatality stabbeded one of them. The victim is 24 years old. As many as four people are being interviewed by the homicide detectives right now at the roundhouse or the Police Headquarters including the person who rushed over to help him out. At this hour, police are searching for the surveillance cameras. In the next half hour we will tell you what one item the forensic investigators found here on the scene that may be connect f connected to the knifewielding suspect who is still on the loose. Residents of chester are asking for answers after a shooting and one person was killed and another person was injured and the Police Captain was also hit in the shootout. A large crowd gathered at the crime scene last night, and some sta started to push against the Police Barricades and officers responded with the pepper spray, and two people were detained in the scuffle, and they are concerned about the Law Enforcement being transparent with the communitiment last month, chester man was shot by police raising trust issues with the department. Police say that their investigation into what sparked the shootout is just getting sta started. They say it is just after a suspected man was pulled over, and one man died at the scene and another went to the hospital in stable condition. The house is consider ed a tota loss. In west philadelphia, police are searching for gunman who shot and killed a young woman. The 18yearold victim was found on north southford street after being shot in the chest. Police do not believe she was the intended target in the shooting. Right now, they are trying to figure out what happened. Philadelphia police are investigating a pair of double shootings blocks away from each other. The first happened at 7 30 on north udall street, and the next at 31st and pine. All four victims were taken to the hospital in stable condition, and no arrests in yooeter case. A janitor is facing theft and weapons charge after a gun scare at Philadelphia International airport. Police say it started when a Republic Airlines pilot left his bag containing a gun inside of a bathroom yesterday. An faa program approved him to carry the gun, and by the time he realized his mistake, the bag had vanished. Police used surveillance to identify the janitor, and they found the gun inside of a supply closet, and pas is ep jr. S a passengers are concerned about the programs that allowed the gun in the airport for the first place. And they need to tighten up the standards, and there must be some standards in the program that were with not met, and they need to review the whole program. In the past 30 minutes, firefighters have arrived here on the scene, and washed down the scene, and more than three hours after the murder here off of the park of Rittenhouse Square, homicide detectives and the forensic unit remain here on the scene. We watched forensics remove evidence, and showing you video here, and we have learned that a knife sheathe is recovered and it could be key in providing fingerprints to help police catch a killer. When we arrived we saw police surrounding a shoe, and it is the victims shoe. One block south on manning we saw clothing. Police say that the Good Samaritans took off clothing to assist the victim. And sources say that four people, two women, two men were walking when they were approached by unknown man. We longhorned from the police that the 18yearold victim was sitting on the front steps of her home when she was hit in the chest by a stray bullet, and this happened at north stratford, and so far no arrests in this case. And police say that a Police Officer was shot after he stopped a car on a traffic stop, and one of the people in the car died. The large crowd demanded answers of what happened at the crime scene last night, and Authorities Say it happened when the officer pulled over a suspected stolen car, and according to the police, passengers were not cooperative. It is our understanding that somebody in the car fired, and the Police Officer returned fire. Again, another person in the car died. Police say they arrested a third person involved in the stop. And coming up, we will hear from members of the community who have more questions about the investigation. One person is recovering after this crash at a 7eleven, and Officials Say that the driver lost control and slammed into the store on north broad street, and the car hit the register, and this is near temple university. Officials have not yet revealed whether the victim is the driver or somebody who is at the store at the time of the crash, and the officers are checking the store surveillance cameras as they are gathering more information, information, and this morning, an Airline Pilots gun is in an Evidence Room in police custody, after it went missing in a bathroom at the airport. Security found it, and now making a case against a janitor they say stole it. Reporter christian jerpoti shared these pk chrs with nbc 10 showing an officer sweeping her plane as tsa and the police were looking for a missing gun. In is not the place to come to commit a crime. When he realized the mistake, it was already gone. And they went from the back to the front of the plane.
