Now, majorly under control, for the most part the accident is on the righthand shoulder. c its coming off the ramp from south street to the schuylkill expressway headed eastbound. You can see the slowdown there, behind the ramp, all traffic has to come to pretty much a complete stop and merge into the westbound traffic. That was the schuylkill expressway headed eastbound just around south street. Theres another view of that there. You can see with the police activity, no big delays behind it. We are starting to see some of the Regional Rail delays. 20 minutes on the elwyn road line, 27 minutes for train 326, dealing with equipment problems. Also newark and west trenton line delays. Both sides talked late into the night once again. Septa claiming that the union is not engaging in good faith negotiations. The unions say they have been prepared to bargain day and night. Once again, because these buses, subways and trolleys are not running, people are trying to find a way to get around. I have to get up extra early. When i get off work i have to walk up to 78 and ogant. Its just too much to handle right now. How far do you have to walk . Its about 20 blocks. Its ridiculous. Just ridiculouridiculous. This is the back and cforth. Theyre going to give them what they want. Just give them what they want up front. Theyre the only game in the city. Of course you have some of the people who used to take their buses and now they have to wake up early to walk over here or get a ride to this location. Firefighters rescued an 11monthold and a 6yearold from a burning home on sheldon street in olney. They took one child to einstein medical center, the other to st. Christophers hospital. Investigators are still trying to determine if anyone else was in that building. Lawmakers will hold hearings in trenton today to look into new Jersey Transit management, operations and safety. The hearings come in the wake of the september 29th train crash in hoe bok than killed one person in that station and injured month are than 100 others. Joint assembly and Senate Committees will hear from new Jersey Transit executive director steve santoro. The central pennsylvania man who Jerry Sanduskys lawyers believe is victim number two is scheduled to testify today in the former penn state coachs bid for a new trial. c victim two is long believed to be the boy who assistant coach mike mcquery saw said that he saw sandusky sexually assault in a shower room in 2001. Sanduskys lawyers allege prosecutors hid the man from jurors at trial because his story did not match mcquery. Sandusky is serving a 30 to 60year sentence f. The department of education says the university violated the clearly act which requires colleges to report campus crimes and warn people if their safety is threatened. The fine follows the fiveyear federal investigation which cited penn state was at least ten violations. Penn state Officials Say they are reviewing the findings. Atlantic citys mayor says the city has given the state of new jersey new details about its financial turnaround plan. Mayor don guardian says the city submitted supplemental information. The state department of Community Affairs after the city rejected the fiveyear plan. Guardian did not offer specifics. Yesterday, state, local and federal leaders announced 22 million in grants for projects to reduce flooding in wildwood and north wildwood. New from overnight, two children are in Critical Condition after firefighters rescued them follow a row home fire in philadelphias olney neighborhood. Pamela osborne is live in hunting park. How are the kids this morning . Tracy, they were in Critical Condition at last check. The youngest child rescued from that fire was only 11 months old. That child was taken to einstein and a 6yearold was brought here to st. Christophers hospital. As i mentioned, they were listed in Critical Condition as they arrived. Firefighters say both children. Reporter rescued from a row home on sheldon street a little after 9 45 last night. 40 firefighters were on scene in a matter of minutes. They rescued the kids from the second floor of the house as they were fighting the fire. When the children were brought out, firefighters immediately started working to keep them alive as neighbors looked on in shock. Its always difficult to locate people inside of a burning building. Despite what you see on television, you cant see anything. There was a lot of smoke. I went inside. The smoke is down to the floor. You literally can see nothing. Its always a real challenge to locate people in these buildings. The fire marshal is working to determine a cause of the fire. Investigators are trying to determine if there were working smoke detectors and if there was anc adult presence at that hom at the time the fire started. Reporting live from st.
