The state and county, they are funding it with pub plik and private donors, 50 people who are currently homeless will be given housing under this program. Its less expensive to make sure they have a place to stay and the services instead of having them end up in jail because they are arrested for some reason. Its interesting to note in other cities where this Housing First initiative has been successful, it has reduced the number of arrests and hospitalizations from people who have been living on the street. A mother is behind bars after these say they found more than 700 bags of heroin in her home. Police served a search warrant on maria gutierrezs home friday. This morning we learned that police in florida arrested a man wanted for murder in a Corner Grocery store in philadelphia. Authorities in florida say they took reid into custody after a car he was in rammed police cruisers. There was a baby in the car. The baby was not injured. Reid has been on the run for nearly a month. He had recently moved into the a home in orange park, florida but marshals were keeping him under surveillance. He is wanted for shooting and killing a man inside the grocery and that happened back on november 10. Its unclear when reid may be brought back to face the charges. The center is still locked down as agents continue to look for clues inside the building where 14 people were attacks happened a week ago today.
