Happening today, jury selection is starting in bill cosbys Sexual Assault trial. Because of the intense interest in the comedians case, potential jurors are being picked in pittsburgh. Nbc10s katy zachry joins us live in the Digital Operations Center with what this could mean for the trial. Reporter from a defense standpoint, bill cosbys team hopes it means a jury not tainted by intense media coverage. The jury is being chosen from the western part of the state because cosbys defense Team Successfully argued to have it chosen from outside of montgomery county. The trial begins two weeks from today in norristown. Thats where 12 jurors and six alternates will be sequestered in a hotel for the duration of the trial. The 69yearold comedian has pleaded not guilty to Sexual Assault charges stemming from a 2004 incident at his cheltenham home with thentemple University Employee andrea constand. Hes accused of giving her pills before assaulting her. He claims it was consensual. The gunfire broke out late saturday night at 23rd and sergeant streets. The victims told investigators family members were hanging out listening to music when two men walked up and started shooting. You can see where a spray of bullets shattered glass. Neighbors drove the wounded to the hospital before police got there. By the time i got in my house, the gunfire started. By the time i was outside, the police was already on site. It makes me feel like we really have just evil lurking in the midst of us. The victims range in age from 17 to 26. Police are hoping Surveillance Video will help track down the shooters. Police are trying to identify a body that was found yesterday in the Delaware River. Officers were called to the linden boat ramp in the toursdale neighborhood. Its not clear if the body is that of a missing teen who vanished while swimming with friends on friday night. This morning, new details about a deadly boat crash during a race at the jersey shore on sunday. The person identified as david robb. He was killed in the Point Pleasant offshore grand prix when the boat he was operating cut in front of a boat and the two collided. Know that the person who died was young. A lovely wife and children. Again, its sad. Another person was critically injured. One of the boats sank and has not been recovered. The water was rough during the race. Otherwise, conditions were pretty good for the event. Tonight in newtown, bucks county, a council Rock Committee meeting will decide the future of two Elementary Schools there. Members will consider consolidating the Rolling Hills and the wrightstown schools and possibly one other. The district is looking at combining schools as a costsaving measure.
