Just skirting the jersey shore. Not everybody is going to see rain this morning, but shore communities youll need your umbrella at least to start the day. Not all day long. 34 right now. Cold in the suburbs. P 28 degrees right now in the suburbs and 26 degrees in the Lehigh Valley. The temperatures will be climbing. 50 degrees inland with mostly cloudy skies at the shore. Showers taper off and 50 degrees at the shore later today. Get sunshine breaking through for philadelphia. Up to 50s degrees as well. Well see some progress during the day. Go through it. There are if you are still headed south and headed down the 42 freeway moving towards the shore area. Watch middle township. Concern growing over the Trump Administration ties with russia. Reports of evidence of repeated contact with russian officials and President Trumps campaign. New york times broke the story last night citing four current and former u. S. Officials all of who say the Trump Campaign had repeated contact with russian intelligence. This was around the time the u. S. Authorities were investigating whether russia was responsible for hacking the Democratic National Carlos Estevez committee. One of the people mentioned paul manafort. All comes after National Security adviser Michael Flynn resigned yesterday over phone calls with Russian Ambassador before trump took office. Trump Administration Says it was because flynn misled the Vice President about those calls. Nbc use reports the president was informed. On january 26 flynn wasnt truthful with Vice President wasnt told until 15 days later. By then the Vice President had gone on tv to defend flynn. We got to abased on a legal issue, but a trust issue. Level of trust between the president and general flynn had eroded to the point he felt he needed to make a change. Thorough review of flynns actions and recorded phone calls found nothing illegal. President trump tweeted about flynns resignation. The real story here is why are there so many illegal leaks coming out of washington. Will these leaks be happening as i deal on north korea, et cetera. White house Visitors Office will soon be open to the public again. First Lady Melania Trump made the official announcement that tours will resume on march 7. White house temporarily stopped public tours during the president ial transition. Requests for tours can be submitted up to three months in advance. Nbc 10 has exclusive video this morning of arrest by immigration officials in philadelphia. Quickly sparked backlash from activists. Nbc 10 Pamela Osborne joins us live at u. S. Immigration review building in spring garden. Two people arrested. A man and woman taken into custody around 5 00 last night. Not long after dozens of proimmigration activists showed up here to show support. Reporter rice voice of resie happening outside the ice headquarters. Mail detainee with shackled arms and feet. Here he is being led in by officers not long after you see a woman in handcuffs also being led in. We reached out to ice. They did not tell us why the two people were detained, but what a spokesperson did say is that ice is currently determining how to best implement policies and guidance to carry out the executive order. Keep in mind, philadelphia is a sanctuary city. The people you see here are with the new sanctuary movement. This group existed during the obama administration, but with 65 volunteers when President Trump took office. This group called for 1,000 volunteers and got them within two weeks. Provides text alert, Emergency Response and assistance. And this time of support. We spoke to one demonstrator on her way home from work. Getting on the subway when she got that alert and showed up here instead. Im here because i think deportation and taking people away from their family is trumping people of basic Human Dignity and rights. If it happened to me and my family, i would believe torn apart and want people to show up for me. The city says theyre working to gather information on how many people have been impacted on whats called an increase in ice activity, but that ice spokesperson we spoke to said there is no uptick in the amount of people that theyre bringing in that is all business as usual here. Monday night getting out of car at top of the hill apartment complex in wilmington, a masked man point add gun at her. Shoved her into an suv, they then trodrove to the nearby atm also punched the victim before letting her go. This morning hearing from the father of etan pats. One of the countrys most recognizable missing children. Found him guilty of kidnapping and murdering the sixyearold boy. Pats disappeared nearly 40 years ago on way to School Bus Stop in new york city. Hernandez once worked adds a clerk at a Convenient Store in pats neighborhood. Pats father said he finally got the verdict he was waiting for. The pats family has waited a long time, but we finally have found measure of justice for our wonderful little boy, etan. Officials have found four more School Districts with high levels of lead levels in drinking water. The schools said the lead came from sinks and fountains that have now been turned off. Testing last year found lead in eight other School Districts in the county. More than 100 delaware students are going to out of state colleges, but not paying out of state tuition.
