Yesterday authorities announced they will not charge two bridgeton officers who pulled over a car in which he was riding in 2014. Dashcam video shows what happened just before the confrontation that left reid shot to death. The two officers said they feared for their lives that night. Under law, federal authorities cannot bring charges without proof that the officers acted improperly. A Delaware County man is in jail facing child rape and pornography charges. Police say he sexually assaulted a 7yearold in newtown. From our south jersey bureau, a manc charged with th murder of his girlfriends 2yearold son is scheduled to be arraigned today. Police say 24yearold Zachary Koshi kicked and punched the child in his stomach on saturday in pennsauken. The childs mom told 911 dispatchers her son vomited and suddenly stopped breathing. He has bruising on his chest. His chest is moving . No. His chest is bruised. Its turning colors. Sources tell nbc 10 that two other children in the home may have also been beaten by the suspect. Additional charges are pending. The trump taj mahal is set to close in about six weeks. Neighboring businesses are optimistic it wont stay closed. The steel piers next to the taj and the owner tells nbc 10 business is down there but it expects to bounce back. Other shops also say the situation at the taj is putting a dent in their bottom lines. Philadelphias mayor will be at Funeral Services this morning for the citys former top cop, former Police Commissioner john timmeney will be laid to rest in new york city. He died after a battle with lung cancer. He is remembered for hopping on a bike and joining his officers on the front lines during protests surrounding the 2000 republican convention. He also stirred controversy when it was later disclosed that police had infiltrated those protest groups. John timmeney was 68 years old. You probably heard about beach replenishment projects. c the head of a beach Protection Advocacy Group was among those that got a chance to board the Liberty Island after Long Beach Township yesterday. Its one of three dredges being used to pump sand on to the long beach island. Its part of a major army corps of engineers beach replenishment and repair project. The work includes fixing areas damaged by coastal storms last fall and over the winter. Each load is about 500 dump trucks. We take six loads a day. The timing of the work during the summer has drawn criticism from some beachgoers. The army corps of engineers say in order to protect 127 miles of new jersey coastline, some of the work has to be done over the summer. 5 37. The driver had become trapped in the vehicle with his legs pinned following the accident.
