Happened in broad daylight. To a teenage girl just out jogging. Popular park was closed in the hours immediately after 19yearold jogger was sexually assaulted while running tuesday. Happened before 11 00 a. M. Victim told police a man wearing a mask; hooded sweatshirt and armed with a gun, grabbed her from behind while she was running and sexually assaulted her. She called 911. Park rangers closed the park almost immediately. Set up command post and searched the area. The whole ordeal making people uneasy. Im shocked because i mean, this is so local. Its certainly not a place where these sorts of things happen. Ive never heard of anything bad here. The park was closed all day yesterday after the attack was reported. Trying to find out if it will reopen today as scheduled at sunrise. Not heard from police if they will reopen the park. I can tell you we just saw a biker rein the area.
