Scaramucci was angry after his Financial Disclosure forms were published shows hes worth 85 million. Back to our weather now and the rain heading our way could bring trouble for beaches. Several of them were closed today because of bacteria from run off. Jersey shore reporter Ted Greenberg has been looking into this problem. Ted, even though the beaches reopened late this afternoon, some people already bummed out. Reporter to the not a great beach day, but some folks wasted no time hitting the waves this afternoon. All new jersey beaches will be open this weekend, but that heavy rain on the way is causing concern. The ocean in Atlantic City tonight given the all clear after closures left beach goers disappointed. It stinks because today is is the only good beach day until sunday. Thats when were leaving. For much of the day and yesterday, no swimming was allowed at any of the beaches as a precaution after bacteria levels exceeding the state Water Quality standard were found early your this week. It would be nice to go in and experience that. But if i cant, i can live it. Storm water run off blamed as the likely culprit. The heavy rain from sunday night and then also on monday night kept the bacteria levels high. By the afternoon, bacteria count hs returned to acceptable levels. But more heavy rain is on the way. Prompting worries about another wave of beach closings after the next set of water samples is taken on monday. Im concerned, yes, because if it is a heavy rain and we continue to get it, it only makes sense it might continue. It could. Its not something we expect, but theres a possibility. Some here also wondering if the dredging of sand just off the coast for a beach protection project in neighboring margate contributed to the levels. It will develop slowly so it will move out slowly. The first alert is for all neighborhoods, but the biggest threat is for delaware and south jersey. We issued this first alert yesterday. We try to give you as much heads up as possible. And it looks like theres going to be an issue for some. 3 00 p. M. Friday to 3 00 p. M. On saturday. The greatest threat is the rain causing flooding. Secondary threat of severe thunderstorms. Not as much of a threat as the flooding. Temperatures in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees. Its a little cool for this time of day and year. In delaware theres an area that is pretty vulnerable because theres been so much rain in july. Northern delaware only need 1 to 2 inches of to produce flooding. Southern delaware can withstand a few inches, but the computer models are suggesting some of the areas may get more than a few inches. Nothing substantial now. Just isolated showers around. Substantial rain back to the west. But this is just the beginning. The storm is going to develop along the coast as a mini noreaster. Thats why it doesnt look as bad on radar as it is likely to get. Here we are at 7 00 a. M. Tomorrow. We have showers starting to build up to the south and west. And as that low pressure inte e intensifies the rain intensifies. You have the yellows and the reds and thats indicating the heaviest rain. Lesser rain up to the north. The Lehigh Valley, poconos may have the best weather in the entire area over the weekend. Probably will. At the shore, what a mess. Wind along with this heavy rain causing floding. Maybe heavy rain coming up to the philadelphia area too. On saturday, its moving out slowly. The clouds may linger into subd. Especially toward the shore. We are expecting the rain to linger into sunday too. And some of those southern areas get hit the hardest. The least amounts of rain up to the north unless this shifts up a little bit. But the potential rains farther to the south are just enormous. 6 inches of rain for a potential. Were not talking about this is a gauarantee. This is the most accurate model in the world. Its been calling for this storm for a couple days. When the other models were not, we have had that rain in the saturday forecast for awhile now. Look at that model prediction for millville and Atlantic City. The weekend overall a saturday is the worst day. No doubt about that. Temperatures are down. Kind of a washout in most areas. The wind will be an issue the a the shore as well. That will be the last place to clear out. So its not even going to be pretty at the jersey on sunday.
