There are two floors the main level and a basement and downstairs it felt like it was every man for himself. When the fire and smoke alarms started sounding, inside the Fitness Center at 11 15 this morning. I just thought for a second, what should we do . Reporter Carol Hoffman was working out in the basement. I dont know if this is real. Skyforce10 was high above. Mike wallace knew the reality. He could see the flames and feel the heat. He took cell phone footage and watched the fire grow in size and alarm. He had seen contractors using a blow torch on the roof. They were torching down rubber on there and i guess it slipped up under the roofing. Reporter hoffman climbed the steps to the main level to see if she and others needed to get out. By the time i got to the top of the steps i could see people running out in bathing suits. Reporter fearing they could become trapped or worse she shouted to a man at the bottom of the steps. I screamed to him, turn around and screamed to everybody to get out. Reporter on the massive 40,000 Square Foot Center main level marissa brooks and official physical therapy employees also scrambled but say they knew what to do. It went off and instinctively we all thought it was a drill but once we realized it wasnt we were very efficient about getting everybody out. There was no effort on any part of the personnel to come down those steps and say this is not a drill. Get out. Everybody was just every man for himself. He told me there are two exits from that basement area also escaped routes posted throughout the building, also this facility does conduct quarterly fire drills but he says sometimes members are involved in their workouts, theyre wearing their headphones and they are not mandatory so they dont always participate. The president signed a new executive order meant to keep the nation safer from radical islamic terrorists. This new immigration order is more tailored to pass legal muster than the previous one which caused outrage. First it puts a 90 day travel ban on these six muslim majority nations. The previous ordered included people from iraq but this new order leaves that country off. The new order does not revoke existing visas and it restores visas that were taken away because of President Trumps previous order. More than 50,000 refugees will be allowed into the country this year and the Refugee Program will be suspended for 120 days. However, there is no blanket ban on refugees from syria as there was with the previous order. The order goes into effect march 16th. Thats a week from thursday. Reporter for some folks in our area these restrictions are not as quite as restrictive as the original one. If youre from one of those effected country, you got a green card or certain type of visa you can travel now and get back here in to the u. S. But opponents are still vowing to fight this and for some people effected by it, they are still nervous. At the university of pennsylvania, this couple have made philadelphia their home but they still miss their families back in their home country of iran. Its makes us sad and depressed. Reporter they havent been back for a year and a half and cancelled a trip because of the president s travel ban that included iran in countries who citizens were restricted. A new order changes the rule. Allowing visa holders like them to travel back and forth but it doesnt calm fears. Even though it says that you could, it still makes you nervous . For sure. Reporter the original ban caused drama at airports when travellers from the effected countries landed and were sent back. Thats not expected to happen this time but the aclu still opposes the new order. Its the same thing. Repackaged. Theyve at least made it not apply to people who are in the air but its still bans people on the basis of the countrys they come from rather than on the basis of whether or not theyre dangerous. Reporter charlie dent is still reviewing the order but does see an improvement from excluding iraq in the ban. It was creating bilateral problems between the United States and iraq. The head of the fbi is now getting involved following President Trumps allegations of wiretapping against former president obama. The fbi director james comey is asking the Justice Department to publicly reject the claims. On twitter over the weekend, President Trump accused mr. A woman caught on camera in Atlantic City wielding a knife is accused of stabbing her sons girlfriend. Take a look at this video from friday afternoon.
