New poll shows 18 percent feel completely safe. 43 feel pretty safe. 23 say a little unsafe. And 15 dont feel safe at all. Transitioning to this, bizarre, terrifying situation for a doctor carjacked in center city. Police an armed man forced the doctor into her car, inside a parking garage. They drove to a gas station at allegany avenue where security video shows them unsuccessfully trying to get money from atm. The doctor hints to the store employee shes in trouble and the suspect leaves with their car and cell phone. Shocked. Absolutely shocked. The safest street we know. Lived here for 19 years. Reporter rosemary, two suspects police here in Franklin Township are looking for, both considered dangerous, but they say identifying and arresting suspect number one, the one youre about to see in the wawa video, will help lead them to suspect number two. Reporter police in Franklin Township want you to look closely at this man, watch him looking around as he enters this wawa on route 47 sunday night. Investigators believe le is one of two suspects, responsible for victimizing a 42yearold man, tying him up, before striking him with a gun and robbing him inside his old dutch mill road home. A phone found and were trying to figure out whose phone that was. Reporter police recovered evidence but say this video in which the mans feet appear to be soaking wet is their best clue, 911 calls sunday resulted in a helicopter search and foot chase with canine units in which cops say the suspect went into a swampy area, residents are still on edge about the crime. Thats even more scary, yeah, because we dont know, they havent been caught. Reporter tuesday police here sent images from the video to the state police for a sashl recognition match. They did get a photograph back, and a name. But do not believe it is the suspect involved or the man in the video. When i seen the photo that was brought back to us, we all kind of had to double take and say, wow, thats very, very similar. Only real thing that led us away from that photo was some facial marks that the alleged accused had as opposed to the photo. Reporter we have been asking but police unable to tell us if the crime was targeted or random. Unless and until they are able to interview the victim, they have not been able to do that yet. Tradition of hanging tags on a tree began last year at a church. The program is part of the touch stone Veterans Outreach community network. Both president obama and pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf entered challenges to end homelessness. Homeless veterans reintegration program, hvrp, provide Homeless Veterans with skill trains, placement and other services. The program also targets specific groups within Homeless Veterans like female veterans and those with families. The Department Awarded more than 150 grants nationwide during 2014. Latest data from 2013 shows that around 63 of veterans involved in that program have been able to return to the workforce. Department of Veterans Affairs is also working on ten main objectives to help end veterans homelessness. Include promoting leadership, raising aawareness, providing Affordable Housing and integrating health care with the housing. Partnerships at the federal and local level have helped to find homes for more than 1300 veterans and families here in philadelphia over the past few years. One of the beneficiaries is delvin, served in the army and tells me that the Veterans Multiservice Center in the city helped him find a place to live and find a job. A. , city of Philadelphia Office Supportive Housing and the Governors Office joined the growing movement to support initiatives to end veteran homelessness. This all comes after a studentled protet, threatened walkout by the Football Team and Hunger Strike by a graduate student. Police arrested 19yearold hunter park, charged with making terroristic threats. He was taken into custody in a small town 90 miles south of the school. A cloud of concern continues to hang over mizzou now, there have been reports of people shouting racial slurs and bomb threats and rumors of a visit by members of the kkk. I think its messed up. I cant believe this is happening here. Reporter University Officials say, theres no active or immediate threat right now, still, there is a stepped up police presence, and a fear that has pushed many students and even teachers away from campus. I dont know if youve been campus, its like a ghost town. The whole place is just empty. Reporter just a couple of days after it was packed with protesters, speaking out zbeagat institutional racism on campus and call for res iignation of t wolfe who stepped down monday. Students at Ithaca College in new york stage a protest, people of color planned this walkout. The president of the Student Government association said, racially charged incidents havent been properly acknowledged by campus leaders. The incident has led to calls for a vote of no confidence for the college president. Lehigh University Students received a disturbing message, a warning about a student who says a man inappropriately touched here. Walking around 11 00 yesterday when it allegedly happened. Bethlehem police heading up the investigation. No word on any suspects. More alerts on college campuses. A mass text went out to College Students in montgomery after a robbery at a dormitory, two students robbed just before 3 00 this morning. They told police that two men came into reimert hall and ripped them off. Everyone in the dorm moved to another residents hall while police looked for evidence.
