What prompted that, in the affidavit released today, what prompted reopening of the investigation because earlier this summer a judge ordered that depositions that were given during the civil case involving andrea and bill cosby, those depositions could be made public. For instance, some depositions, according to the affidavit, bill cosby said that he obtained prescriptions for quaaludes and, again, this is part of the District Attorneys decision to bring these charges now. Reporter lane says he likes chip, he was drafted by him but feels kelly needed to be more open and take suggestions from players. Chip had good intentions. I think he didnt have a good way to go about it, sometimes he came off stand offish. I know he cared about players. I dont know if he had the best way to go about things. We know this case beats the statute of limitations just barely, this happened in 2005, allegedly. But why so long for these charges to be brought up . Why now . As indicated, there was unsealing of deposition and testimony that was done prior with mr. Cosby. So theyre using that as additional evidence to use in this case move forward in prosecuting. I think we are seeing in this country on College Campuses and in allegations against bill cosby just women are saying, no, you know, this isnt right. Reporter over the past year, a number of women nationwide claiming to be other victims of cosby, have detailed their accounts in public, tracy believes a long held bias against women who accuse rich or high profile men of rape may be shifting and assumption that theyre only after money may be eroding. She hopes this case may remind women they will find support even though their alleged attackers a powerful or famous. My hope people will stop blaming themselves for these actions and that our Justice System will be more responsive.
