Small said because he was angry. We believe she reached out to him and yelled his name and he left her in there to die. Reporter authorities found small walking in the area. His hands were burned and he smelled like gas. Smalls family contacted authorities saying he called them confessing to the crime. Nbc 10 was there as police were hauling him away. Among the allegations, that he tried to arrange a federal grant to a consultant through a fake organization to eliminate a campaign debt. He says the prosecution will have to prove a direct correlation in what happened. This case is going to come down to the prosecutors having to prove mental state. He says he claimed to be a lawyer and promised to work closely to immigration and bring the necessary satisfaction. But now two years later, he admitted to us he never even submitted the application. Theres no way to fully measure how much of the fraud occurs because so many victims never tell law enforcement. This Attorney Says new victims arrive in her office every week. That word signifies a specialized attorney. But in the u. S. , its a notary public with no authority to practice law. Its a very misleading name. Citizenship and Immigration Services tells us they may promise to fast track applications or offer Legal Services they are not qualified to provide. In february of last year, after finding him liable for more than 57,000 in damages, a judge prohibited soloman from advertising or offer rg ing services. Yet when we visited him last month, we found those very words painted right on the wall of his waiting room. When we asked about it, he suddenly climbed up on to a stool and began cover rg up the painted writing with paper as our cameras rolled. Why were they up there . You didnt see that . He showed us other spots where the words had been hidden from view and insists he never told anyone he is an attorney nor called himself an notario.
