Fires burning along with a series of attacks and looting. The situation is so severe as we mentioned the National Guard was called in as a last resort according to marylands governor. They plan to be out in Massive Force in a support role deploying armed troops armored humvees and larger equipment. Mayor Stephanie Rollins blake said over an hour ago she will bring order from chaos and bring those who destroyed property to justice. She says she understands there is anger out there, but what we are seeing is not anger, its destruction of a community that the rioters claim to care about. You saw tonight a demonstration by the Faith Community coming together to take to the streets. I think it speaks to the real heart and soul of our city that we are not going to allow our beautiful city to be destroyed. The state of maryland has requested up to 5,000 additional Law Enforcement officers to deal with rioting in the city of baltimore. At this time theres been no damage to their home but to this bar, very extensive damage im told by the battalion chief. Road crews are working to reopen a Montgomery County road after a deadly crash. Prosecutors and Defense Attorneys gave their Opening Statements yesterday. James holmes is accused of killing 12 people injuring 70 in that shooting rampage three years ago at a theater in aurora, colorado. Holmes has pleaded guilty by reason of insanity. Lawyers for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev laid out their strategy for trying to save his life. Yesterday his lawyers told the jury that giving him life in prison would rob him from martyrdom whereas the death penalties at this will keep him in the spotlight. A former philadelphia archdiocese official may be heading back to prison after the state Supreme Court reinstated his landmark conviction.
