A senior Pennsylvania State Law Enforcement source says while shots were reportedly fired last nirt they did not come from state police and are not part of the search that has brought on heavy police presence. Now, the suspect, erin frein, were told may be hiding out near his familys home in canadensis, monroe county. 200 officers at a time are going out to find this suspect. He is accuse of ambushing two troopers one week ago yesterday. One trooper, Corporal Brian Dickson was killed, another, alex douglas, was critically injured. Because frein is considered armed and dangerous, state police are asking travelers to avoid price and barracks townships. Roadblocks have been set up and neighbors say they are shocked by what happened and they are hoping for a peaceful end. You dont know the real story of whats happening or whats in this guys mind or what happened. Its sad for the families. Just a shame all around, you know, for everybody. For his family, for officers families. Its hard to what to really think about it. Eric frein this week was placed on the fbis ten most wanted list. Going with that is a 100,000 reward. Nbc10 was on the scene of north 19th street where police tell us two people were shot during an attempted robbery. One victimtvfn is in Critical Condition this morning. Two people were rushed to the hospital after a boating accident on the delaware river. The coast guard says two men were headed north up the river when their boat struck something around midnight. Theres no word on the victims e. Conditions as of yet. Now to the fallout from the ray rice skapdcandal. The nfl is teaming up with Domestic Violence hot lines. Yesterday goodell promised a sweeping new policy. He said the entire league will undergo training about preventing abuse. According to the group women against abuse, it has raised awareness. Police in harrington say the 13yearold suspect turned himself in on thursday. The family of the 8yearold victim contacted police last month. The teen suspect is being held in a juvenile facility. Today bulldozers will be brought in to remove debris from the site of yesterdays warehouse fire in philadelphia. Last night nbc10 was on american and cumberland streets in West Kensington where fire crews were putting out hot spots. Officials warned neighbors to stay inside their homes because the wind was kicking up a lot of smoke. The fire crews will continue to check for embers here until about 8 00 this morning. Thats when the heavy equipment will start removing debris. The warehouse fire started yesterday. Flames spread quickly destroying both a vacant building and adjacent paper company. The fire forced neighbors to evacuate and nearby schools to close. Three people were hurt, including two firefighters. Investigators are nowing looking into the exact cause of this blaze. The revel in Atlantic City may be closed but the casinos financial troubles are still impacting other businesses. Acr Energy Partners filed a Court Document yesterday about millions of dollars in unpaid utility bills. The price of Atlantic City reports the Energy Supplier is now on the verge of bankruptcy. I dont have no explanation for this. Spirit has a history with guns. He served time for the accidental shooting death of his 8yearold son in 2001. In 1987 he served 20 days on a gun charge in atlantic county. The same year he was sentenced to probation after his conviction in Camden County for receiving stolen property. News from bedelaware bureau. University of delaware students Say School Officials need to be more trans part when they investigate claims of Sexual Assault and harassment. A rally for change was held yesterday on the campus in newark. Last spring a student filed a complaint against a soeshology professor. She claims that professor tremby offered her an a grade in exchange for sexual favors. The student and another professor who helped file the complaint say the university nerve told them how the issue was resolved. This is about recognizing that we need to make better policies so that victims and survivors feel safe going forward, so theres dialogue about what happened, so we can do some prevention, too, and not just look at things after theyve happened. Nbc10 also reached out to the university. Officials would only confirm that the professor is no longer teaching classes there. The socalled underling of philadelphia drug kingpin savage will serve life in prison for a deadly fire bombing. He was sentenced yesterday. Last year the jury found him guilty of Drug Trafficking and the 2002 arson. Members of the federal witnesses family were killed. There were six victims incruding four children. Savage is on death row for killing at least a dozen people while he ran a violent cocaine empire. A Billboard Campaign aims to help ath no there facing weapons charges or what she calls an innocent mistake. This is one of four new signs a gun Rights Advocacy group put up in support of Shaneen Allen of philadelphia. Police in south jersey stopped allen for a routine traffic violation. She told the officer that she had a gun in the car but her concealed carry permit for pennsylvania was not valid in new jersey. She now faces up to ten years in prison if convicted. The atlanta county prosecutor andassigned to her case refused to let her go to a pretrial program. Part of the problem is that bryn mawr has not addressed any of these issues and this has been happening for a while.
