Nearly 100 people have returned to their homes at a Delaware County apartment complex after fire forced them out overnight. Firefighters tell us there was thick smoke inside the building. Some residents were trapped and had to be rescued. This fire started late last night at the glenn croft apartments. Three people were taken to the hospital. They had minor smoke inhalation. The red cross says only one Apartment Unit was seriously damaged. Fire investigators havent said what they think sparked this fire. Family, friends and local dignitaries gathering in trenton for this Memorial Service held in memory of the head of the Cooper Health system and his wife. The couple died after a fire was set inside their home in somerset county, new jersey, last sunday. Their bodies found inside their bedroom. Investigators say the fire was arson. The attorney for the head master of a wilmington prep school asked that child pornc charges against his client be dropped. The trial for 54yearold Christopher Wheeler got under way today. A state trooper testified wheeler tried to scrub his laptop computer as Police Closed in on him. He resigned last year. Hes elected to waive his right to a jury trial and have his fate decided by a judge. Today the mayor voiced his support of the plan saying the src didnt have other options. But Raghunandan Yandamuri spent two hours telling a jury what he says happened inside a king of prussia apartment back in october 2012 is the truth. He merely had a lot to say. He just had to organize his own thoughts. He showed remarkable memory. Its amazing. But even asking a question, he just kept going. So he just knew what he had to say and he said it. Reporter yandamuri is representing himself. He chose to take the stand in his own defense. He spoke to the jury for more than two hours today, telling them two men force him to go to that apartment and he had nothing to do with the killings. He says he didnt tell police about that because he was afraid hed be blamed for the crimes and he also says the confession he gave police was forced and that investigators ignored his plea to find the real killers. The search for 10monthold saanvi venna lasted for five days. Once her father came home and discovered her grandmother stabbed to death. Yandamuri in his confession led them to the body of the baby who wasc suffocated in what they called a botched kidnapping attempt. The explanation on things were very limited. Reporter yandamuri has spent the day telling a jury that two men by the name of matt and josh forced him to write the ransom note, take him to the parm and those were the men who carried out the killing. So it is going to be a warmer day tomorrow because of the sunshine. You can see the first little area, first batch of rain moving very quickly out of here. Federal agents have a new focus on day 25 in the search for the outdoor survivalist wanted for ambushing and killing a Pennsylvania State trooper more than three weeks ago. While the fbi will not confirm it was our report that brought them back to a nearby abandoned resort, they seemed to go to the very same area where it appeared as though somebody had been living recently. The fbis tuesday mission go room by room at the abandoned penn hills resort in stroud township. It comes a day after nbc 10 reported a worker noticed recently inhabited rooms there, windows covered with plastic, air fresheners on the ceiling and unspecified newspaper articles covering the walls. The searchers know penn hills has numerous hiding places like the indoor pool building or honey combed offices. This search after published reports of a letter searchers found believed to have been written by fugitive sniper ericc frein, about the shooting of two state troopers and freins escape. The search for a serial burglar in one Delaware County commune, Upper Darby Police say there have been five burglaries since september 20th, all happening overnight. The entrance is the same through either an open window on the first floor and or prying the window on the first floor. Well be seeing a lot of wind gusts. You can see, were looking west. Way in the distance its getting brighter. Thats a sign that the first little batch of moisture is moving out. 69 degrees. That cloud cover and rain, of course helps keep the temperature down. We want these clouds to get out of here because if they do, we have this spectacular total Lunar Eclipse coming early in the morning. If you look to the west, the best time is between 6 25 a. M. And 7 09 a. M. And right around that time, thats when the clouds will be moving out. It will be a close call, the further west you are, the better chance you have of it being clear. You want to look to the west. The sun is rising the opposite way, to the east. It would be amazing if the clouds get out of here. This rain is getting out of here. As you can see pretty quickly. It is generally light. Its all over with, in Chester County about to be over with in Montgomery County and berks coun county. So were just getting upper bucks county now and around the easton area in pennsylvania. But the big action is back to the west.
