Reporter family members, friends and classmates gathered at the spot where 16yearold minete zeka lost her life. An 18yearold driving this suv hit and killed her as she crossed bensalem boulevard to board her bus just before sunrise. I would definitely say this should not be a bus stop because its not in a good place at all. Reporter the victims best friend said minete saved her life at this busy intersection a couple of weeks ago. Right before i was about to get hit, she pulled me back. Reporter parents tell us theyve complained to the School District about students having to cross the boulevard in the dark. Now the School District is looking into changes bus routes following todays crash. Some of the things were looking at is increasing bus routes, changing bus locations. We reevaluate that with great regulator and we continue to work very closely with the local authorities. Safetys our number one concern. They dont realize how serious it is until Something Like this happens. Its not right. Just a few moments ago the girls family released a statement through their lawyer saying, quote, the zeka family wishes to express their appreciation for all the family and Community Support theyve received today. Our daughter was a gift from god and will be forever missed. We must Work Together to make sure all of our children can get to School Safely and be protected from the obvious dangers, end quote. As nbc 10s George Spencer found, the reports came out just as students left for winter break. Reporter two of the sexual assaults show up in saturdays crime logs and a third was reported on sunday. It is a significant spike on a campus still reeling from a sex photo scandal just last month. From behind princetons tall iron gates and along prospect avenue, home to the schools storied eating clubs, officials receive three new sexual assaults claims just this past weekend. Its shocking, and it makes me a little worried, i guess. Reporter Research Assistant demarius gruffner is still on campus. Of the results reported this weekend, the most recent allegedly happened just this past friday. The victim fondled at one of the eating clubs. Another report also recounted fondling at an eating club within the past month. The third alleged sexual tiflt, while the victim was incapacitated in an earlier academic year. Before this weekend, records show two sexual assaults reported all academic year. Especially, you know, an Ivy League School like princeton. And you wouldnt think that stuff like that would ever happen here. Reporter students say that heightened awareness is due in part to a sex photo scandal just last month at the tiger inn eating club. Vandals spray painted the word rape haven outside the club after officers circulated an email of a photo of a student performing a sex act. If the victims in the vent incidents choose to pursue the cases, allegations from off campus eating clubs would be investigated by township police. Investigators say lawrence wean was giving out prescriptions in exchange for cash. Detectives went undercover as paetsches at dr. Weans office and say they were never examined or given any tests but they allege that wean was filing false n claims for those services. A meteorologist in waco, texas, is in the hospital tonight after someone shot him outside his tv station. Police say Patrick Crawford and the gunman got into in kind of argument in the parking lot this morning. Crawford was shot several times but is expected to survive. Police have made no arrests. He says he cupped her cheek and told her to leave. Her 30 days are up. A honduranborn woman has been holed up in a church in a monthlong protest of a deportation order. Theyve charged Daniel Mcmillen and daniel mafao with burglary. They cut a hole to get into the store and they were later found hiding inside a ventilation unit on the roof. A mystery involving a family home video lost at the jersey shore more than a decade ago has now been solved tonight. Those two little girls are featured in a bag of home videos that ended up in the lost and found at jacobsons boardwalk back in 1998. Workers found the videos and an old camcorder in the attic two months ago. Today the owner of the long lost family memories was tracked down in northeast pennsylvania.
