White nationalists who descended on the city for the second state day. I saw two people fly over the hood of his car then he hit another car parked in front of him. Reporter at least one person was killed, around 20 were injured in the crash. The crash followed a morning of violent vats between white nationalists and counterprotesters. White nationalist groups in charlottesville to protest the citys planned removal of its robert e. Lee statue. Displaying confederate and nazi symbols, they taunted people who confronted their message of hate. President donald trump speaking at his new jersey golf club. We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides. On many sides. Its been going on for a long time in our country. Its hosted by the group, rise up doylestown, which has held events in the past and decided they needed to do something as an Emergency Response to what happened down in virginia. Now, they are particularly sensitive to those racism incidents here in this community, as we have reported on in the past year. There were a ku klux klan fliers left on doorsteps back here in february. And then in more recent months, the ri they reported the vandalism signs, signs they put out called hate has no home here, those were vandalized. Many placed those in yards in response to recent incidents. Now to see this violence today, people started immediately reaching out asking what they could do to send a message. Have to do something, we have to say that doylestown is in solidarity with the community of charlottesville in standing up for love and peace and antiracism. Also seeing a severe thunderstorm watch for bucks, delaware, montgomery and philadelphia counties. We also do have some storm damage reports, so we have some downed trees just to the west of us, and also some streets that have been closed due to localized flooding. A woman heard noises coming from her deck. When she got up to see what was going on, she got shot three times. You can still see some of the bullet holes that went through that screen window. Three gun shothss woshots woke sleepily Summerdale Community last night. I was outside smoke a cigarette, hear real loud bangs. I didnt know what to do so i freaked out a little bit. Reporter Police Say Two men were snooping around this house, inside a 58yearold woman woke up after hearing voices from coming outside. She got up and looked out this window. When she saw two men standing on her deck, they shot her three times in the stomach and chest leaving this bullet hole in her screen. This is ridiculous, this is disgusting. Now you cant be safe in your own house . Thats not right. Reporter the victim managed to call t9111. Suspects ran down the street. Extremely scary because it was right between our houses. Reporter william lives next door. His bedroom window face that same window where his neighbor was shot. Would have been able to look right out the window and maybe i would have seen them before i heard a gunshot. I would have heard something. Well hear people walk through here. Reporter he got home a few minutes after his neighbor was shot. He said its hard to believe and this shooting put the whole neighborhood on edge. Something that serious, it is pretty scary. They could have just ran away, but no, they had to shoot her first. Just horrible. You dont expect Something Like this in a neighborhood like this but it happens. Police are now charging him for not using a crosswalk. The man was hit in claymont just before 10 00 last night. He was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition. Zion United Methodist church. The free event included a School Supply giveaway, moon bounces, Face Painting and young entertainers. Three students were each given 200 scholarships. Its just a day where kids can have all free things and a day of fun and a day of peace and they dont have to think that somebodys going to come and shooting at them. For berks c county. Keep that in mind, if you see any flooded roads, turn around, dont drown. Storm damage reports so far, weve seen a few flooded roads. Also reports of some hail and some downed trees just to the west of berks county and Lehigh Valley. Satellite and radar image right now, notice how we are seeing a line of storm moving in from west to east. Lots of lightning as well. We have a cold front right behind that. Everythings pushing in from west to east which is why were seeing a lot of active weather. Earlier today, we did see warm temperatures, in fact, a lot of breaks breaks in those clouds. M. , we had the line of storms moving across our area. Well pause this at 8 00 p. M. Here you see oranges and reds. This is the thereat of thunderstorms movingly across the Delaware Valley from west to east. Later tonight were still seeing showers moving through and some rain and threat of more isolated thunderstorms. A lot of times these can fizzle out. This case, i think by 10 00 p. M. , we may see one or two isolated thunderstorms. Look at this. Everything starts to improve certainly by midnight and even though it looks like we still see some rain and possibly some thunderstorms along the jersey shore, i do think a lot of this will clear before midnight and pave the way for a really nice sunday.
