Nbc10s matt delucia is live at the scene to walk us through what happened. Reporter the 16yearold was the only one shot. Police tell us there could have been more victims. There were close to a dozen victims outside at the time. Take a look behind me. It happened in this alleyway here. Philadelphia police tell us that this is 34th street moore, a Philadelphia Housing Authority gome development. Shots were fired just before midnight. Take a look at this video. The chairs now overturned in the backyard. Police say someone started shooting from a car. This was a driveby. Several bullets hit the house and shattered the glass on the front door. Here are a couple things police are trying to figure out right now. For one, they dont know if the 16yearold was targeted since hes not from this neighborhood. Rather, from northwest philly. He was here visiting family. Also two different types of shell casings were found at the scene. Investigators are trying to sort that out. Was there a second shooter . Septa inspectors discovered dangerous cracks on many of its cars. The cracks could cause a train to derail. Septa was forced to take 120 of its new silverliner 5 train cars off offline for repairs. 120 cars, thats a third of the fleet. It could take all summer to repair them. Septa says prepare for packed cars, disrupted service or no service at all. We ask for our riders patience the first days and weeks of this adjustment time should prove the hardest. Notice the greens on our radar, already getting picked up here. While some is not making it to the ground around philadelphia, however farther south we are seeing scattered showers to start the day and areas of patchy fog. Thats something to be mindful for Early Morning and overnight hours. Futurecast, notice how everything is working its way in from west to east. As i pause this, later this afternoon, notice the green here. I do expect this to get here a little earlier. Thats pretty much the story we were talking about yesterday and saturday. Im going to go ahead and stick with that for today because i do see the threat of these showers getting in earlier and i expect isolated pockets of heavier downpours and some rounds of thunder later tonight through the overnight hours.
