As we travel through the philadelphia area and check out the rest of our majors, 95 southbound from woodhaven road up towards the vine street expressway, 12minute trip, no problems on the schuylkill, the blue route is doing great so far if youre headed southbound and mass transit, no problems or delays this morning for new jersey transit, patco or septa. New from overnight, a pregnant woman was shot on her front porch last night in the frankford section of philadelphia. Two men walked up and opened fire on a woman and a man. The woman took a shot to the leg and the man was hit in the back. We dont have a motive for the shooting but it does appear at least one or two of the victims were the intend target due to the fact that the shooters were in such closec proximity to where the victims were sitting. The woman is eight months pregnant. Were told shes in stable condition. The man is in critical but police say he is expected to live. A woman and her elderly mother fought off two gunmen during a Home Invasion in the long crest section of philadelphia. This is terrifying Surveillance Video here. [ screaming ] thats the screams of a 76yearold woman as she fights for her life. The attack happened suddenly. First one man, then another stormed into the home and ransacked the house. The invaders pistol whipped the women and knocked them to the ground. The oldest victim had to have stitches in her head and her grandson tells us hes thankful shes alive. Anger. Anger. Coward act. Two women. My fear was coming home to not having a family anymore. The men left right through the front door taking nothing. The family believes that the men thought they had money in the home because they own a bodega. They plan to move now. A main lineman is facing charges after police say he performed a lewd act on himself while staring at his neighbors 5yearold daughter. Radnor Township Police arrested Kevin Hartmann yesterday on multiple charges. They say he was standing in his backyard watching the girl play in her backyard as he was doing this. He gave them an explanation for his behavior. He was interviewed about what he was doing. He did admit and confess that it excites him to go outside in the nude and the possibility to actually be seen by his neighbor excited him and thats the reason for him doing this. Now, neighbor says the lewd behavior has happened at least eight times in plain view from her backyard. 4 06. Happening today, the philadelphia parents who pleaded guilty to murder charges after thish 3yearold daughter starved to death will be sentenced. Carlos rivera and carmenc ramirez. The girl died in 2013. She was born with a disorder that left her partially blind and unable to walk or talk. Ramirez also pleaded guilty to using disability checks for partying and gambling at casinos. Congressman, theres no policy that prevents members of the house from using their private email accounts to conduct congressional business. He tried to claim congressional privilege to keep investigators out of his inbex but he was denied. The congressman is accuse of misusing his congressional influence and stealing taxpayer money and charitable donations. Hes also accused of accepting a secret Million Dollar Campaign Loan and taking a bribe from a lobbyist who wanted to be a u. S. Ambassador. Hes married to nbc 10 news anchor renee chenaultfattah. Shes referenced in the criminal complaint against her husband and labeled as person e. The feds allege she took part in a scheme to fraudulent by sell a car to pay Closing Costs on a vacation home. Philadelphias District Attorney seth williams, met with dozens of neighbors and city leaders in overbrook. The walk started and ended at the scenes of unsolved shootings. A gunman opened fire on a College Campus in california hitting three students and one of those students is dead this morning. Well update the Police Search for the gunman. And the weekend of the papal visit, its going to be tough to 6t iladelphia for all of us. With limited parking, how do you get to the ferry . Officials say they hope to have an answer to that question by next week. Theyre encouraging people to take Public Transit to get there. The river link ferry is running from saturday, the 25th to monday, the 28th. People can buy tickets for 7 online. She chose herc waiting day of september 27th, 2015, well before anyone knew the pope would be visiting. Since then, the bucks county reception venue offered her the following weekend but shes declined. And to further complicate things shes having a twopart ceremony, one here in philadelphia, the other in bucks county. Guests have to travel during one of the busiest times in philadelphia with detours and closures on major routes. Every day im having anxiety attacks. We were looking at alternative routes as well. Part of route 1 is also close. Were telling our guests to leave as early as possible. If they get there early well provide refreshments.
