Well, we are three days away from one of the biggest decisions that registered voters will be taking this year. I think actually it will be probably it can become the difference between United States. So this election is important. We have to be sure we go to vote. Talk to us about the work you have been doing with neighbor to neighbor. These last couple months have been extremely important for you guys, right . Yes. Neighbor to neighbor is a Community Organization in massachusetts. We have chapters in and our offices in boston. Of color. We have see elections as an opportunity to elect people that will move and pass legislation that will benefit our people. We have been making sure we are phone banking, have been walking the streets, talking with people, distributing information. We really want to make sure people have enough information to make up their mind and go out and vote and they will vote for the best person that they believe will represent the community. The idea is to go vote. A lot of people think i am only one, i am difference. What will you tell those people . There are a few things. One, the election is just to elect the candidate but also you need to be organized. I will tell you, i have seen organizations that get decided by five votes. The mayor in lynn in 2009 or 2010 was decided by 37 votes. Imagine if those 37 people decided my vote doesnt count. And even more eventually when legislators make decisions they usually care about people that vote. Thats why i do this job. One time i was working with legislation and somebody said jose i was in the legislation for undocumented people. He says you guys dont vote. Bring people registered to vote and lets talk about it. Interesting. When somebody says my vote doesnt count, i home. I say no, please go out and vote. Now that you mentioned that, i want to talk about your case. I think it is important for viewers to know you have been in the u. S. For 18 years. 18 years. You yourself cannot vote. Thats right. But here you are. The mobilization that you do, you get thousands of people to register to vote. Talk to us about your case because obviously a lot of people want to know. Here you are a political talk about that. You know, i came to the United States in 1998. I came undocumented with the dream of many immigrants that come to the United States. I came and i have been taking classes, going to adult programs, graduate from Northshore Community college with associate degree, three kids in the United States, 18 years of living in people talk about the line. I dont know what the line is. 18 years later i dont know. I also know that we have to be organized and we have to participate and make a difference. Just complaining and staying home is not enough. There are decisions that are important. This is what drives you, the fact that you cant vote but here you are making such a big difference and getting people to vote. It is amazing. I go to the idea that complaining is not enough. Something because eventually when the decision is made you go i did my part. I did what i could. That is not regret of if i did this, maybe things would be different. No. This is the opportunity. We have to do it. Thats why i do it. Going to different places in massachusetts, i see people that are struggling whether u. S. Citizens or on work permit or undocumented. People are troubled. There are decisions that elected officials are taking affecting all of us. This is not just about one issue but the future of our society. I have kids born in the United States. I want to be sure they have a country to live where everybody will be welcome. I know you have had a very Successful Campaign to register a lot of people.
