Good morning. Good morning and the first think this we did is look at the forecast model. There is several of them, so many of them and we had to go change the weather map or not and we tweaked some of the numbers and were the extreme Northern Edge of the storm. That hasnt changed but how far north the storm is creeping and looks to get farther to the north and that little change has made a bit of an impact on snow totals and this is the current radar picture and some heavy snow and thunder reported. And the lightning tracker is showing nothing at this time. Twenty minutes ago, there were lightning strikes there. Interesting storm and a lot of power with the system. So far so good. Otherwise, the peak gusts across the interior and that is a breezy day. And 15 to 35 Miles Per Hour and theyre at the coast line and back into the cape and islands. I think well see numerous gusts over 40 Miles Per Hour. And i want to mention, too, the coastal flood watch for tomorrow and tonights high tide will feature minor coastal flooding. Tomorrow, were looking at a foot higher tide because of the full moon and on top of, that the waves are fill piling up and this is where we have a risk of coastal flooding and pockets somewhere like scituate and into sandwich. From new york city, philly to going to stay to the south; how far, some of this will make its way into massachusetts later today and again, a lot of this not reaching the ground. Along the south coast here. Got a report, though, nantucket is seeing some flurries and well continue to see the snowflakes from the sky all day long. The temperatures are in the 20s for some and 31 degrees in boston. Right around freezing. Although there is so much cold air here. We might get a brief period of a mix on the islands and cape and looking less likely here. Current radar, netherland to the south and west and seeing some snow and heavy snow still reported on long island there and this system continues to spread from south to north. This is the hourbyhour timing through this morning and this afternoon. 10 00 a. M. , seeing the snow accumulate along the south coast here and on the island. By noon, a few snowflakes around the boston area. The first Little Finger of moisture here. By 3 00 p. M. , that is when things ramp up south of the briefly into the northeastern parts of massachusetts and just barely touching the New Hampshire border. Potentially with this and its locally higher amounts. 6 00 a. M. Now, everything starts to move out. At that point in time, were done with the snow sunday afternoon and evening. Good to go. The weekend snow potential, one to threeinch range from boston and areas along the mass pike and south until we get to the south shore here. Three to sixinch range. Sixto 10inch range where we make the change and a bulls eye there for the cape and islands with locally higher amounts. Wouldnt be surprised to see a foot of snow in isolated spots. Therefore, because of all of the snow on the wind and even the potential of low visibility, we have advisories, warnings and a blizzard warning posted for Marthas Vineyard. Speaking of the wind, that is going to be our next issue as we get into the later part of the day. Warning in affect for the vineyard, well, the criteria for that, we need the wind speed of 35 Miles Per Hour or greater. Either sustained or gusts, considerable falling and blowing, drifting snow. Check that off of the list and building less than a quarter of a mile for three hours or more. We have all of that going for us, unfortunately, later today. With more on the wind and lets get go to danielle. Big issues. Yeah. And right at the coast line, especially. That is where were keying in on the strongest wind. Over 50 miles an hour possible on the cape for a brief period notice, too, and this is important. The wind shifts around tomorrow morning and blows out of the north and eventually the northwest and a as it whips around in the back storm. Over 50 miles an hour weather gusts possible, the 60 Miles Per Hour gusts would be isolated to nantucket and briefly during the predawn tomorrow and i want to show you the wind will show you the side and an active day. The damaging wind threat will be done through the afternoon and tomorrow. As early as tomorrow morning. There might be isolated outages and damage resulting on the cape. With the wind, of course, comes the waves, piling up the ocean water here. Saw a bowie report off of the jersey coast line of a 21foot sea already and this is after the new jersey coast line. The minor coastal flooding is widespread and moderate pockets of coastal flooding as we head during the high tide tomorrow and from hall into the cape and islands. As we go through ththe morning, slowly from south to north and reaching first to the south coast, the islands and cape with heavy bands of snow developing in southeastern mass and into the mass pike and lesser snow amounts with that quick cutoff in the northern parts of massachusetts. Were looking at one to three inches of snow in boston. Three on six inches of snow for the south shore and 6 to 10 inches of snow higher than last night, based off of the latest forecast model information that were looking at all morning long. The wind is going to be a big issue for us. And year right about that. Were watching that closely with the tide and the forecast wind gust project and that is up to 30 Miles Per Hour and that is at the coast line from the New Hampshire sea coast and into essex county and then along the coast line from the south shore to the south coast.
