The bomb squad determined the clothing. The ups facility is a few blocks away from the scene of shooting. Frightening few hours. They want to make sure that its not a bomb. First of all, they evacuated us and told us that we it could take between one and four hours before the bomb squad gets here. Its just eerie, you know. It just happened and, you know, it hit so close. Its just scary. The package was harmless. The chief says they were acting in an abundance of caution and reporting it. At the same time we are getting a look at the woman who killed 14 people with her husband. But even though they know her face, investigators say there are few details about Tashfeen Malik and the life she led. Investigating the shooting as an act of terrorism. Malik and her husband syed farook killed 14 people at a Holiday Party before police gunned them down in a shoot out. Tashfeen malik had pledged her allegiance to isis. Also an inside look at the killers home where that he lived with their baby and stored an arsenal of weapons. Two cell phones found in a garbage dumpsters. Those cell phones were actually crushed. We have retained the cell phones and we continue to exploit the data from the cell phones. Cbs news has learned the couple built their pipe bombs using the arm, how to build a bomb in the kitchen of your mom, is the same one used by the tsarnev brothers to build their pipe bombs explaining why the devices looked nearly identical. This as lawyers for the couples surviving family members say there is no proof they have extremist views. Its a facebook account under another persons name that supposedly just visited some site. We spoke with her pastor, who knows the family well. I guess thats my concern for amanda now, is the longterm ramifications. Not just the physical injury but the emotional impact it will have on her moving forward. You hear of these events whether they are in connecticut or elsewhere in the country and all of a sudden its one of ours that got hit. Probably the first time at least like this. This is the video of a man arrested in a bomb hoax. Police say he left a suitcase next to a Homeland Security vehicle. Reporter is there anything people of boston . The fbi says they are involving investigating the shooting by a suspected husband and wife at a Southern California office party as an act of terrorism. Mother and her had teen daughter died along with another relative who was pregnant. She has been trying for so many years and she is gone. Reporter and we are also hearing about the heroics of a young man who rescued his grandmother. He went to go get in and save another person. Thats when he slipped and fell. I could only imagine. Reporter carmen perez knows the feeling of immense grief. She lost four family members in a devastating 1999 fire, and tonight felt she needed to do something to pay her respects. Memories hard for me. Reporter right now investigators simply do not know what caused this fire. They are asking anyone who shot cell phone video or took photos shortly after the fire started to come forward. This morning the New York Times is taking a dramatic in the aftermath of deadly Mass Shootings in Colorado Springs and San Bernardino, california. The paper is using space on its front page for an editorial calling for greater gun regulation. Its the first time an editorial has appeared on page 1 since 1920. The publisher says the piece is meant to deliver a strong and visable statement about, got, the source of guns. The Editorial Board writes in part, it is a moral outrage and a National Disgrace that civilians can legally purchase weapons designed specifically to kill people with brutal speed and efficiency. Reporter neighbors watched in horror as fire engulfed this crowded three family home. People on the first floor thankful they lived to talk about it. We all got out. Reporter on the third floor another family barely escaped. We couldnt see anything. I dont know how we just got out. Reporter and when firefighters arrived they pulled two more people to safety as flames shot from the house. I have been a firefighter in lynn for 32 years. It was one of the most spectacular rescues i have seen. Reporter crews were forced to pull back and fight from afar. Tonight we are learning more about the four people who didnt i just would wish that this wouldnt happen to this family. Reporter a friend told us a mother and her teen daughter tied along with another relative who was pregnant. She had been trying for so many years and shes gone. Reporter and were also hearing about the heroics of a young man who rescued his grandmother. He went to go get in, save another person, and he slipped and fell. I could only imagine what happened. Reporter carmen perez knows the feeling of immense grief. She lost four family members in a devastating 1999 fire and tonight felt she needed to do to pay her r. Memories hard for me. Reporter right now investigators simply do not know what caused this fire. They are asking anyone who shot cell phone video or took photos shortly after the fire started to come forward.
