Police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured, it happened at north tryon street and craighead road. Wbtvs Mark Davenport was first to break this story on social media, he was first at the scene and mark, you got a head start being there first, getting details from police so, what can you tell us . Reporter christine, i can tell you i spoke to a sergeant a few minutes ago we were the first ones to talk to him as well. He told us how all this started unfolding this morning. A car showed up at cmpd headquarters that was shot into. They told officers at cmpd headquarter theres was an issue further up north, when officer started making their way up here they found this scene behind me at tryon square like we have been talking about all morning long. Right now csi teams are on the scene, showed up if within the evidence markers on the ground. Behind this Shopping Center, there is another road behind the Shopping Center where police found a man who called police from a house behind the Shopping Center. He was shot so they went back there as well they are investigating three different areas right now and this is the one that is the most active at this point in time. The man shot was shot in the leg, taken to the hospital, were told nonlife threatening injuries, but in this Shopping Center i asked why here, what happened this morning, they were saying the last couple nights this club in the back of the Shopping Center, the s ago g social club. There was a crowd in the parking lot and that is when shots were fired. There is probably 10 or 11 evidence markers on the ground in the parking lot here and i know at least eight are shell casings. John looking ahead figures to be another busy night for Charlotte City council. They are scheduled to vote on several issues including how to develop part of charlottes Eastland Mall property. Council could sell 11 acres to the school board to so a new Elementary School can be built after previous plans for movie studio, park and recreational completion failed. Two other big money projects are on the block, Council Members could vote on whether they will spend 2 million on renovations to discovery place. It would create two science and engineering labs plus upgrade the current 3d theater. Also may vote to spend a Million Dollar on Traffic Control equipment.
