travel west of winchester, virginia and d.c. later on this afternoon. there is a severe thunderstorm warning in effect for allegany county, western maryland. there is the tornado warning i was talking about. there might be some people watching on the cable. take note of that. thunderstorms, and northern and western cluster around southern ohio. this is producing wind gusts over 80 miles per hour. this is a fancy word for a bit cluster of thunderstorms. all this is inching its way to the east and we will see the storms ahead of that in maryland. on the outflow of those storms, we may see the other stuff developed to date. a cold front will, through and give us some relief from the heat. you can see the difference in temperatures, and that is what fuels the thunderstorm activity ahead of it. right now it is still kind of hot. 87 in parkton. the forecast for the rest of the afternoon is scattered showers and thunderstorms. high temperatures around 95 degrees. highs in the
