Police commending the bravery of two adult males who they say came forward in august of this year alleging they had withstood a decade of child sex abuse at the hands of this man, 66year old john charles villersfarrow. The sexual abuse mostly happened here at his edgewater home on the 1400 block of wakefield road and that lasted from 2000 to 2008. They were in years old when it began and lasted until their early teens. They would spend time and sleepover at his house with permission from their parents. It seemed according to Court Documents that he was taking on some sort of custodian role. Charging documents revealed one of the victims told police the abuse had happened hundreds of times, so many that he lost count. It was determined these were numerous incidents involving these individuals who were minors at the time. Occurring intermittently over that eightor nineyear period. Villersfarrow turned himself into Police Wednesday night. When we arrived, a woman quickly ran inside and told us to leave. One neighbor who did not want to go on camera said he was not surprised by the allegations. On a side note, neighbors and several sources have confirmed that he was the brother of the famous hollywood actress, mia farrow. Her publicity people declined comment. He was held on 800,000 bond. That was reduced earlier this morning to 250,000. Police do fear there may be more victims. Were asking anyone with information to call the child abuse unit. A baltimore man was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his 1yearold son. The sentence comes with all but 50 years served. He pled guilty today for first degree murder and murder admitting stabbing his son to death. That happened in september of last year. Police say that the body was discovered wrapped in a mattress. In baltimore city, prosecutors offered to murder suspect the plea deal in connection with a crime that continues to horrify. In may 2004, Police Arrested policarpio Espinoza Perez and adan canela for the near decapitation deaths of their young relatives. They have been on trial twice. We have an update. The defendants decided to take their chances in court even though the dna evidence is strong. The childrens blood was found on the defendants jeans, and gloves, and one of the defendants shoes. Policarpio Espinoza Perez and adan canela both said no deal initially. In exchange for guilty plea, prosecutors offered them 40 years in jail with the possibility of parole. He is maintaining he is incident and sen. This is not a slamdunk for the state. There is one additional factor. They did not do it. The brutal nature of the crime left the region stunned and horrified. Those who recall that still struggle to make sense of it. The motive remains a mystery. All three children were beaten and had their throats slashed so deeply they were nearly decapitated. The defendants became suspect and came to the crime scene to comfort relatives. They provided inconsistent statements regarding their whereabouts. Their first trial ended in a hung jury and they were convicted in the second one but the high court overturned it. Ruling the judge failed to inform the defense about the contents of five gerrie notes. Attorneys argued had they known they could have changed their strategy. Gretzky did not as colleague questions. The case is headed for a third trial and may be tough to prosecute. One of the witnesses was murdered by his wife. The defense has filed several motions to keep the proceedings fare including excluding espinosas statements to the police. It was the result of illegal seizure.
