The man barricaded himself inside his residence alone. Police armed with a gun exited his home. Police gave several verbal warnings to the man to drop the gun and surrender. The man instead opened fire and shot and killed a police k9. Police were then forced to shoot the armed man. Was taken to an area veterinarian where he succumbed to his injuries.
