A 13yearold boy is being call a hero after helping to save his fathers life. The two were hiking when a boulder crashed his dad. The boulder had landed on me, i would be dead for sure. Reporter it was a father and son end of summer adventure in a part of idaho with the ominous name river of no return wilderness when everything changed in an instant. Yeah. I thought i was going to bleed out. Reporter a boulder the size of a refrigerator broke loose hitting 52yearold david and sending him careening 30 feet down the unconscious, breaking his back, left arm, heel, and gashing his leg through to the bone. It was definitely scary at first. But then, i just thought that i should stay calm and then make sure he was okay. Reporter twoandahalf days, his 13yearold son charlie, an experienced boy scout took care of his dad by himself. Dressing his wounds and keeping him calm and hydrates but there was no way to get him out. His dad made the decision to send charlie for help with this note explaining what happened and how to find him. I was scared i wouldnt find anybody. It is just beyond the tent over there. This happened around 2 00 where this plane took a nose dive into a wood area behind the crowd line. I do want to go straight to the exclusive video of this plane practicing around 2 00 this afternoon. Just before it went down. You can even hear the audio of the woman who took this video saying dear god, because you can see the plane doing a turn. Practicing for the air show.
