>> i would say pretty close to many people. obviously, we have crew members that are allies and people from different backgrounds. but for the most part, reservation dogs marks the very first series with an all-indigenous rioters from and all native directing team and all indigenous cast and when you look around nearly every department, you find indigenous creatives. so, it's definitely a barrier breaker, but it is also like, it's about time that we had an opportunity like this and i think that is why the show has resonated with so many people is because it is coming from truly a lands from indigenous people for indigenous people. it is a family. it's unlike anything i'd ever been a part of before. and the fact that there are so many queer natives behind the lens and also in front of the lens, is like, it's really awesome. somebody that i get to work with now on the most recent show that i'm working on that i got to work with on reservation dogs is sidney freeland, a trans and navajo director. but as well as tommy pico and -- who is non-binary, who plays jackie in raz dogs. behind the scenes, that is also, while it might not necessarily be a queer show, there is definitely are in print all over that world. >> you joined the marvel comic universe movie dumb -- can you tell us who your character is going to be? >> there's not a whole lot that i can tell just yet. but it is one that i am really, really excited about and that is actually who i am getting to work with on the show. sidney freeland, who had mentioned. getting to work with her on -- reservation dogs and now on echo and this being like the first indigenous marvel superhero universe with queer indigenous folks at the helm, it is fiercely awesome and so important. >> what would you tell you are six year old south if you had a chance to go back? >> it's tough. i feel like, in terms of myself and my coming out story, i was somebody who only came out as an adult because on my brows -- the only people who i know of who are out were people who are visibly queer, but who also faced a lot of homophobia and transphobia. i would tell my six-year-old self to be open and to question everything. and that your love of the book and movie harriet the spy is not an accident because -- the person who wrote the book was out in the 60s and harriet was a baby queer. and so, i would say too make sure to stand up for people in your community. because you are a part of it. you're part of the queer community, whether you realize it or not. and yeah, just be reflective and look within. you might have come out a lot sooner. >> devery jacobs, star of reservation dogs, brand new superhero, thank you so much for being here. >> thank you so much for having me. >> we will be right back with pride of stage and screen. pride of stage and screen. whoa whoa, slow down boys. we know you love it. and did you know they like ceviche??
