>> reporter: hey, there, alex. the impact of the storm in manville was twofold. first the flooding that we've seen images of, unbelievable images, but the second part is what is behind me here. this used to be a banquet hall, which was a big banquet hall in the area. now it looks like there's not anything salvageable from it. you see the smoke still rising from the explosion due to a suspected gas leak more than two days ago. this is what is happening all over the place. there's a number of businesses and local homes that exploded because of these gas leaks and we're seeing, we're talking to a number of business owners in the area. we talked to ron from manville pastry shop. he says his business is a total loss in items of what's inside. he says he hasn't seen a flood like this since hurricane floyd in 1999. but he is committed to rebuilding. >> it's tough to continue to pick up the pieces after this kind of devastation.
