A woman is facing charges after shes accused of assaulting a Deptford Township police officer. 56yearold hinson was speaking to the officer through a closed door at the deptford Park Apartments when she suddenly opened it tossing that liquid in his face. Hinson was arrested after a struggle and the officer was taken to a hospital but has been released. Police captured a woman in connection to a house fire in west philadelphia. Police say neighbors identified a 26yearold woman as the suspect. Flames broke out this morning on the 4900 block of girard avenue. We are told shes being treated for burns to her hands. No residents were hurt. And caught red handed. Police arrest a man seen slashing tires near city hall. This morning patrol officers say they found a man stabbing tires on multiple cars. Police approached and placed him under arrest. Thats when a witnesses came forward saying they saw that same man slashing tires nearby. Police say 16 total cars had their tires slashed. Police are trying to figure out just how an suv and crashed into a and apartmenting in northeast philadelphia this morning. One person living there says the suv hit a building at the Ashley Court Apartments on bustleton avenue around 3 a. M. Police say two people were injured from the impact. That resident telling us the impact of that crash scared him and his family right out of bed. I first thought was my kids okay and i thought we were at first being robbed. Then when i saw the headlights i thought it was a fire and then i saw the car and i was like oh my god. So i grabbed ever one up got out of the room and got out of the house and didnt know what to do. We are told the injuries are minor and so is the damage to the building. But the cause of the crash is under investigation. And turning now weather. Its been a perfect fall day across the area. If they vote yes, transport Workers Union local 234 says the strike will start november 1st. The main Sticking Point is the pension plan. Earlier this month we brought you the story of cyrus the clydesdale crane lifted from mud. Hes okay and on his way to a new home but not before a big sendoff. On a brisk saturday a warm reunion and hug. Its a great feeling. Reporter thats rescuer steve and rescuee cyrus. He was saved thanks to members of the Chester County rescue task force. The first thing we did was try to get a sling around him to support him. At 18, cyrus is more than 1,000 pounds so saving him was not simple. The task force had to dig through high mud and then use their tools and tenacity to pull cyrus free. It took hours. Then after rounds of evaluation for a pneumonia scare and antibiotics he was back at the thornbury farm stables but not for long. Well, were going to take him down to virginia today to his family. And hes going to live the rest of his life happy. Soon cyrus and his adopted family will be joined by another horse said to be in inseparable from cyrus. So, how did all this happen . The farm thinks cyrus may have been chased and got stuck in the mud. His handlers say hes feeling stronger so he hes going to his new home very healthy. Beating Breast Cancer one step today. About a thousand walkers are resting after completing a 20mile trek. Theyre taking part in the susan g. Komen three day and anita oh he joins them. Three days, baby. 60 miles thats not a lot. No. Been through this before. Been there done that. Reporter for many here the cause is personal. Next week is my 11th cancer anniversary. Reporter doctors diagnosed anne moss with Breast Cancer in 2005 after a route teen mammogram. Thanks to treatment he she survived. Stay positive. Thats the most important thing. Reporter now each year she joins her pink family for a 60mile walk over three days in order to raise awareness and money for cancer research. There may be a few aches and pains along the way but its nothing compared to what people going through chemo and other things like that are up against. Reporter but from the midst of pain, the biggest blessing they say is the community they found along the way. Each year jim hill man of san Jose California walks in all seven cities that host the event. I get involved because my mom passed away from Breast Cancer in 2004. Whether youre down emotionally physically its always there to support you and to lift you up. Reporter now the participants will walk another 20 miles on saturday and then another 20 miles on the last day, sunday and end up at the navy yard. We want to reduce the number of Breast Cancer deaths currently at 40,000 per year. And that number hasnt budged much since we got into business here. But we want to reduce it by 50 percent in a decade. Now, most of the money raised goes to research and finding a cure for Breast Cancer. And a reason to smile for a world two veteran. A special celebration with food family and friends. The reason for this special gathering. And drenching rains cause rising waters out west where residents are dealing with serious flooding. Lauren. That brings the death toll there to at least 43 in the u. S. North Carolina Governor Pat Mccrory announced today those bodies were found after flood waters receded.
