Joes prep in north philly, most are still sleeping, you can see, it is very quiet. But many say they are having trouble sleeping. Because theyre just so excited to see the holy father saturday and sunday. Welcoming 350 new student then week, boys and girls from across the country and john. Embarking on a pilgrimage to see pope francis. Im just so excited, just cant wait to see the pope, and like it is just minds blowing. Like i never thought i would be able to do this. We drove 15 hours soy all geared to get going. Brought all of the essentials, back packs, clothes, sleeping bags, no complaint here, though. Theyre all itching to get to know their jesuit brothers and sisters. Really amazing just to be able to see all of these student come on over. Thursday, student treated to barbeque with the philly twist. Some games and a pep rally, but the motto here is this is a pilgrimage, not a vacation, so today theyll prepare for the walk into center city to see the holy father both saturday and sunday. I just think it is really great that pope francis is so humble. Im real excited. We really want them to come away with a Broader Vision bigger goal and to see themselves as being able to have aim pact on the cities where they live and bill up the common good.
