We do have some scattered showers, storm chances, but again key word storm chances, wont bring whole lot of relief. To get lucky, maybe hour drop in the temperatures, but so humid out there, it wont help things much. Pretty nasty. Tough to breathe out in the city, temperatures still in the 80s at this hour, feels like the 90s. I walk my dog in the morning and i couldnt believe how hot it was. I dont remember it has been that hot so earl. I just seems to be definitely the warmest morning weve had so this weekend both today, tomorrow, it will be rough out there. Take it easy. We look out live, right now, it is quiet as far as the weather goes. Clear skies over center city, looking south from our roof camera, just very muggy outside, with temperatures in the 80s, but feels like the 90s at this hour, when you factor in the humidity. Tropical air mass is in place throughout the next 48 hours. Look at these temperatures from the city on southward. We are low 80s, dover, delaware, checking in at 80 degrees. Seventynine in newark, millville 81 degrees as well as wildwood, cherry hill, same situation. Ocean water temperatures dropped little bit. Very warm past few days, hit the lower 80s off the coast of new jersey back to the six 60s, strangest southerly breeze, pushes cents the warm surface water out to the sea. Relief down the shore today and tomorrow. Seventysix chalfont, impressive up toward the Lehigh Valley poconos, low 70s at this hour in mount poconos, 76 allentown. What it feels like when you factor in the humidity, unbelievable. 92 degrees for the heat index in philadelphia, 89 in millville, 91 in wildwood, swweating out in dover at this hour, at 92, and look at the dew point temperatures, this is tropical air, mid and upper 70s, dew point of 81 in dover, i mean, thats pretty extreme here to see dew point this high, and it stays like this today, through tonight, and tomorrow. So, pretty much the dew. 77 degrees, thats unsufferable. We havent seen that too often this summer. So this will be the trend the next 48 hours, so just take it easy if you have to head outside especially during the prime time daylight hours. Now, we do have showers, storms, well to the north and west, cold front, this will take its time to get in here, probably, not until later sunday into monday, until then, just sitting in this warm humid air mass, and again, each afternoon there is a chance for scattered shower or storm. We do find that some relief at the shore, probably the best place to be, jersey shore, delaware beaches this weekend, temperatures still hole hot, up around 90 degrees, nice breeze out of the south wells, again ocean water off Atlantic City, 65 degrees, uv index running high in eight out of ten. So 90s today, will feel more like 110 around the city, during the afternoon, maybe that late day shower or storm, the front approaches us tomorrow, better chance for some scattered showers tomorrow evening. Once the front passes not quite as humid monday. So there is some relief in site. And dont get me wrong, though it, wont be the best day, big drop in humidity, but notice the difference, so, through this afternoon, pop up shower or storm, gone by the evening hours, so tonight, we will keep things nice and dry. Tomorrow start off dry, late afternoon, evening, you can see little bit more coverage, in the showers and storms, again, they can contain some heavy rainfall because so much humidity out there. Look at the heat index values, up around 110 later this afternoon, it will stay hot tonight it, will feel close to 100, even 11 00 at night here around the city. Then tomorrow slightly cooler, 104, 105, but hey, whats the difference, 1105 . 105, 110 . Just hot. Very humid tonight, low of around 80 degrees, chance for storm early. Check out the seven day forecast, no huge changes, at least drop in the temperatures, but do go back to the upper 80s, eventually next week, but we have to get through this weekend with highs in the 90s, and pretty much each day there is the chance for scattered shower or storm.
