Police here at the special victims aoun rid handling this case they say she lock her four kids in the basement this past weekend without food, water or a bathroom, as punishment. Take a look at the video. Police were called to the home here on the 1900 block of east atlantic street kensington around 1 30, sunday afternoon. One of the children had cell phone that could only dial 911. Thats how these children got help. Investigators say the kids had been locked in that basement since 11 00 p. M. Saturday night. When police arrived, they couldnt get in so they had to get help from the Fire Department firefighters got inside by a second floor window. When crews got to the basement, they found a 13 year old boy and his three little sister ages 12, ten and nine. They didnt have food or water or a bathroom. Now, police say the children didnt have visible injuries, but were taken to the hospital for examination and then here to neighbors we spoke to say the mother is working single mom, and theyve never known her to do anything like this in the past. It is so not like this lady. I have known her for about two years. She is very, very nice, treats everybody very, very nice. When she socialize z shes just a kind of lady. Very disciplined mom. And really, honestly, were all really shocked. Now, this mother will face number of charges including four counts every endangering the welfare after child. We will continue to follow this story. More than 6500 others are injured. Rescuers are working around the clock to find people burried in all of that rubble. The us and other nations are responding to the disaster. The pentagon says a plane caring medical personnel search and rescue teams left Dover Air Force base yesterday. And this is truly terrifying. The quake triggered avalanch burying part of the base camp parked with climbers, at least 18 people including three americans died and dozens more were injured.
