Again, it will be tracking northward giving us the chance for some showers or rumble every thunder here this morning, then more pop up shower and thunderstorm chances as we go through the afternoon and evening hours, today waking up this morning to temperatures in the 70s across most of the region. Warm, and also muggy start to our friday. We will see dew point already into the 70s, it will remain on that humid side of things, all the way through the afternoon. Here is our day planner for us. Philadelphia man who calls himself dirty old santa is behind bars this morning, police say he tried to lure a 14 Year Old Girl for sex, our greg argos tells thaws girl was actually an undercover cop. Williams mckinley levels here on the 900 block of marcella street in northeast philly. But Delaware County District Attorney january wheel and said the 56 year old traveled more than 20 miles to this ritas water ice to have sex with a girl he thought was 14 years old. This particular person believed he was having a conversation with a 14 Year Old Girl. It was just by the grace of god that it was a Police Officer able to intercept him. Da wheel and says that 14 year old was actually undercover officer, part of the internet crimes against Children Task force, and the icac had their eye on mckinley since april when the officers replied to his on line ad titled young ones, male for women. Continued to discuss very explicit sexual material with her and that continued for a number of month. District Attorney Says mckinleys conversation then took an even more bizarre turn. I am santa, and he said im a bad santa, or referred to himself as dirty old santa, and then engaged in explicit sexual language with that child and then her pictures that were disturbing from a sexual stand point. Two robbery suspect are in custody this morning after leading police on chase across state lines. Chopper three over i95 near the airport, where that chase came to an end last night. It began miles away in new castle, delaware, after police say the suspect held up a tmobile store. They got a which with cell phones, ipads. The chase sently ended when their black mercedes got a flat tire. Police continue to look foreman they say attacked a woman jogging in south jersey. This happened monday, at par vin state park in pit grove, salem county. Investigators say the suspect hit the woman in the face and neck, with a stick, she hit the suspect back, and got help from police at nearby camp site. This is a sketch of that suspect, who was described as a white man. Twenty, 30 years old, 6foot two, with a skinny build and short, dirty brown hair. Police are investigating a crash in juniata park that killed a man on a dirt bike. Chopper three was over the scene yesterday afternoon near whitaker avenue and erie avenues. Police say the dirt bike driver tried to squeeze between a box truck and some parked cars, when he lost control, hit two parked cars, then slid underneath one of the trucks tires. No one else was injured. Community members are remembering a 17 year old who was swept away by current at new jersey creek. Marty, and three other teens, went swimming in hamilton townships John Roebling park wednesday afternoon. One drowned after getting caught in the current of the creek. The family said he didnt know how to swim. The town superintendent called him an outgoing student. Also, crews have found the body of the second teenage swim here drowned in atlantic sit a week ago. Police say 15 year old ramon quinn tried to rescue 16 year old scala hand after rip current pulled her out. The current ultimately pulled both teens underwater. It happened near Martin Luther king boulevard. Beach goer discovered quinns body yesterday. Hands body was found on monday. Happening today, Defense Attorneys are expected to crossexamine the man who prosecutors say showered Philadelphia Da Seth Williams with gifts, and in exchange for favors. Prosecutors say williams accepted all expenses paid trip to the Dominican Republic from ali in exchange Authorities Say williams promised to help ali with getting through customs at Philadelphia International airport. Williams has denied all wrongdoing. Bill cosby may be hitting the road for some town Hall Meetings across the country. Representatives for cosby say theyre fielding requests for the 79 year old entertainer to go on a public speaking tour about the justice system. Philadelphia Police Officers had to save a deer that got stuck in the water near penns landing. After about 30 minute, and multiple attempts, rescue crews were able to pull the deer onto their boat. Glad that little deer is okay. Tropical storm cindy is expected to keep moving north today. It dumped up to foot of rain on areas from louisianna to florida. As cbs news correspondent David Begnaud tells us, the flooding brought flooding and tornados to communities across the south. Reporter in fairfield, alabama the siren sounded as the tornado captured on cell phone touched down just miles from downtown birmingham. The twister ripped apart several building but left the bottles untouched sitting on storeroom shelf. Emergency crews report several people were injured, but no one was killed. The tornado was likely spawned from the renmant of Tropical Storm cindy. That storm system has dumped several inches of rain from louisianna to the florida panhandle. Creeks and by use flooded many lowlying neighborhoods, some areas on the gulf coast got up to 10 inches of rain, forcing drivers to abandon their cars. That tropical moisture going to be moving into the delaware valley. So you can see once again whats left of cindy spiral through eastern arkansas, back toward memphis, tennessee, lot of flooding down in the northern bouey, eastern arkansas, a lot of wetlands, so getting ton of moisture. Then, also watching this other boundary off to the north there. Showers, thunderstorms, firing up now, northern missouri, back now into chicago lands, as well. Again, that front is actually going to absorb whats left over from sented, that tropical moisture will come together. As they do theyre going to bring more shower and thunderstorm activity to the delaware valley, real that i comes tomorrow morning, for right now, seeing showers out there, just toward the nations capitol. Back down into southwestern pa, too, and in general, were dry across philly and the surrounding suburbs, to start out our friday, just cloud cover for us, but again there is rain inch chest closer and closer, probably going to get here just in enough time that we see it around the morning rush hour. So by 6 00 we could see maybe a few showers in the far western suburbs, as we get to the 7 00, 8 00 time frame, again, everybody hitting the roadways on this friday morning. Thats when we start to see the showers, maybe even few isolated of rumbles of thunder, and heavier rainfall out toward lancaster, reading, around 8 00. Good news, first round of precipitation done by lunchtime. So it looks like maybe through most of the afternoon hours, it is going to be just spotty shower chances maybe an isolated rumble here and there, of thunder, as we go through the later afternoon into the evening hours, again, spotty shower, thunderstorm chances, High Resolution model does once again bring through thunderstorm right over philadelphia around 5 00 or so. So as we get ready to drive home, we have to keep an eye on the roadways once more. Summer fest this afternoon, this evening, down in sea isle. And across the area, looks like it is going to be about the same. So heat index values today will be a factor for us, as we get a lock at the temperatures for the next couple every hours, we will be about 77 degrees around 7 00 this morning, again, few showers going to be out there, 10 00, thunderstorm activity for us, we go all the way up to 87 degrees this afternoon, happening in that 3 00, 4 00, 5 00 time frame.
