Trang, good morning, i think this is dejavu, werent you doing this friday . Reporter yes, here we go again, rahel, jim. Penndot began retreat the roads last night, that work will continue this morning, but take a look here, plenty of salt as we mentioned on friday. After very mild winter, we havent seen whole lot in terms of the snowfall this winter, meanwhile people across our region are preparing for a snow day. And over the weekends, shopping frenzy kicked off at the acme in bala cynwyd. Lots of people buying up milk, bread and eggs as expected. Many stores like acme had to restock items, like salt, shovels, because they packed it all away for next winter. With forecasters predicting as much as a foot of snow for the philly region overnight monday into all day tuesday, all of the products had to come back out on the floor. We actually put the rock salt and snow shovel out of the sales force last thursday. So we just welcomed them back, selling milk, eggs, juice, soda, what they are buick the most right now. Interestingly, the the last march snowstorm dumped as much as a foot in our area happened in 1993. It was right around this time of the month. Police say the victim shot in the head on south 61 street near region street, steps from the cemetery. Happened after 8 00 p. M. Last night. Did not have any identification on him. So far no arrest haves been made. And a teenage boy with autism is recovering this morning after police say he was found bound and bruised in the citys mantua section. Police say the 16 year old boy was found outside in the freezing colds, 800 block of north 42 street. Investigators tell us he was bound, had bruises around his wrists. He was taken to the hospital and at last check was in stable condition. Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf has ordered flags in the state to be flown at half staff in honor of a fire official who died while responding to faith fire. Believe hoverboard caused the fire that claimed a toddlers life, and led to the death of the responding fire officials. Fire happened friday night, three year old desean tai hughes died from injuries in the blaze. My granddaughter. Cant replace her. The pain, so deep. This will be a big one, folks, does come with poor timing too, about this same time tomorrow well see two pieces of a much larger puzzle come together, a classic noreaster setting up for us, heavy snow, but a lot of other side issues that come with that and other caveats, as well. So, heres the first piece of the puzzle, most obvious, snow currently falling across the midwest. See the sneaks every rain across the northern gulf. These two pieces come together. Thats whats going to turn into this much larger storm system. Then later on tonight, the snowflakes will begin to fall. So im jumping you to 10 00 p. M. Guys. I dont think we start to see the flakes start until the earliest at that point. 11 00 at night or so. But it will spread in from southwest to northeast. So over those couple every house notice, see the rainsnow line right over our area. So that said, right along i95, it is make or break, as to where this ends up. But you will see in our snowfall maps coming up here that there is a very sharp cutoff. So, three, 4 00, 5 00, 6 00, 7 00 in the morning the snow will be pounding down specially northern suburbs, find the heaviest snow out of this. But the rainsnow line means that youre really going to limit the totals across southern new jersey and delaware, very likely see sleet mixed in in the city to limit our totals in philly. So, the bulls eye for our area, really go to, well, say ocean, monmouth counties, then back into northern most suburbs, Lehigh Valley pocono region. Then it starts to rotate away, the storm system. So we will see all of it winds down through the afternoon, and with that said, tonight and through tomorrow, specially, this is still what were pegging for our most uptodate Snowfall Forecast map. I expect athlete a foot from northern most chester county, bucks county, in the city up to a foot. Six to 12. And then you drastically cut the totals down as you go into southern new jersey and delaware. Coastal Flood Warning also worth a mention. Takes effect for very strong wind, also high wind warning down the shore, and just coastal new jersey and delaware in general. It does wind down for us into wednesday, but even still, meisha, lingering snow showers will remain. That can be dangerous. So many people pulling off those sports car early, rear wheel drive, any of that tomorrow, do not use those vehicles. It can be very, very dangerous in the snow without snow tires or what have you. So, looking outside right now, staying focused on this morning before all of the snow starts to come in tomorrow, looking good.
