After they say a man was struck by a vehicle in camden. It happened a little before 8 oclock on baird boulevard and randolph streets and were told now the victim was that rushed to the hospital. Now back on Eyewitness News police say a man who barricaded himself insides his roxborough home for hours died from a selfinflicted gunshot wounds. This tense moment unfolded about 5 oclock this morning along river road. Officers responded to the scene for shots fired. Police and s. W. A. T. Team members then surrounded his home as the man barricaded himself inside firing off several shots. There were no other injuries. Cherry Hill Police Say a driver going the wrong way hit a Police Cruiser head on early this morning. Police say it happened about 2 oclock on route 70 near kingston drive. Investigators tell us the woman was traveling east in the westbound lanes. Both the officer and the driver were treated at the hospital for their injuries. The woman was charged with driving while intoxicated and is also facing additional charges as well. There is new research meantime it shows that Drinking Alcohol can actually reduce the risk of stroke but there is a catch here. The study published in bnc medicine found in people who had one or two drinks a day actually cut their risk by 8 percent. But heres the catch. People who drank more than four alcoholic beverages a day increased their risk by 14 percent. The study actually suggests nondrinkers take up drinking as a health measure. And together forever. It seems divorce rates in the u. S. Have plunged now to a 35 year low. The National Center for family and marriage says many factors are in play here including the aging of the u. S. Population. Changing gender roles and the fact that not many people are actually getting married these days, those are other factors. Storm scan3 showing us that cloud deck has decreased in many areas, Still Holding on to some clouds up in the Lehigh Valley or the poconos. Seeing lake effect snow off to the north and west right there. The snow showers moving into parts of western new york and western pennsylvania but those will leave us alone. Temperatures right now are chilly. 37 degrees in allentown, were at 39 in trenton, down already to the freezing mark in millville and we do have those wind speeds kind of variable but up around 12 Miles Per Hour in wilmington. When that wind picks up it is having an impact on that feelslike temperature feeling like 33 in wilmington, feeling like 20s in the poconos and feeling like 26 degrees in millville. Forecast lows overnight tonight dropping down into the 20s and 30s across much of the area. The one mild spot will be wildwood only falling back to 40 degrees and in the city we fall back to 38, partly cloudy conditions with that chilly breeze out of the northwest up around 10 Miles Per Hour. And for our day tomorrow i know we saw a little bit of sunshine at times across the area today. Tomorrow its sunshine for everyone all throughout the day. Brisk conditions, High Temperatures running just a few degrees below average, 49 but with winds gusting up around 20, 25 Miles Per Hour tomorrow afternoon, it will feel a little bit chill ill and it will also feel a little bit chilly if youre heading out to the eagles taking on the packers at the linc monday evening, 46 degrees, dry conditions so we will start to see the cloud deck increasing monday evening in advance two of weather systems that are going to bring us two big helpings of much needed rainfall. This is tuesday then again into wednesday and the first half of thursday periods of rain, some heavy at times. I think we could even see a few embedded thunderstorms possibly producing some gusty winds. Rain potential one to three maybe even more locally and we desperately do need that rainfall. Next week we could see more rainfall from these two systems than weve seen about in the last two months in philadelphia. Future weather showing us quiet conditions all throughout our sunday heading back to work i know after the long holiday weekends but no problems on the roads weatherwise. We go throughout monday cloud deck does start to increase by the evening hours, staying dry. Tuesday morning looks okay for most of us. By lunchtime that widespread area of rain overtaking the Delaware Valley. Some of that heavier rainfall and then as we head into our tuesday evening commute that rain will still be lingering around making for a slow go and rainfall amounts some of our model projections, some of our main modelsly in philadelphia giving us about 2inches very consistent there so we have a pretty high level of confidence that well see some significant rainfall totals as we head into midweek next week but no rain in the forecast tomorrow across the region.
