The manhunt goes on this weekend for whoever shot two cop this week in ferguson missouri, during a protest. I cannot tell you at this point theres an arrest thats imminent. Certainly nobody is in custody. The body cam of a Police Officer after a rescue of baby. She was in her car seat after her mother and her crashed into the river. We begin this morning with breaking news and a crisis unfolding on an island in the south pacific. Overnight a cyclone crashed through. It packed winds of 210 miles an hour. Vanuatu is more than a thousand miles east of australia. At least eight deaths are confirmed but the number of deaths are expected to go much higher. Its too early to assess the full damage. Electricity and Running Water is out for much of the 83island area and communications are limited. Alice clemons, a unicef worker there, described the storm as it hit the capital. The winds were incredibly strong. It hit schools and hospitals, affecting housing. Significant casualties as well. She said they only have a very short time to get aid to people because another cyclone is headed their way in just a few day. Now to some incredible video just released in the dramatic rescue of a 19monthold girl baby lily. She spent 14 hours in an upsidedown car in a spanish fork river after her mother crashed into the river. Reporter 12 30 in the afternoon saturday march 8th an officer races to the scene at spanish fork. A car is upside down in the river with a woman and toddler inside. The officer bolts from his patrol car and sprints down the steep enbank mnlts tombankment to the site of the vehicle where hes met by other officers. Then decides the only way in is by flipping the car onto its side. After rolling the car over firefighters enter the vehicle and struggle to free 19monthold lily from her car seat in the back. Once shes freed shes pass aid long to an officer who rushes her to a waiting ambulance. Lily appears motionless but rescuers are convinced shes going to make it. Paramedics suction lilys nose while the officer performs cpr. The ride to the local hospital takes just a few minutes where lily is rushed inside. From there she was transported by helicopter to primary childrens hospital. As we learned the week lily is now alert and healthy and safely in her fathers arms thanks to the heroic efforts of these brave men. That was chris miller of our Salt Lake City kuat. Its really unbelievable when they say her car seat was dangling right above the water. She could have been submerged but the car seat was holding her up. Now to the Veterans Affairs administration, president obama is back at the white house after visiting the Phoenix Center yesterday. It was at that center that the scandal erupted last spring over long delays for veterans seeking health care. Mr. Obama is pressing for action. It could make things worse.
