Here in clark county though one of the care options they offer. Ob care for expecting mothers, its done at the end of the year. The Health Center says not to worry though, theyre committed to helping current patients find future care. We deffinitely struggled with this decision because were trying to provide the best care possible and allowing access to all nevadans to have Quality Health care expecting mothers in the community wont be able to go to nevada Health Center for their ob care after this year. Thats a big deal. I think its a concerned matter for people in the community here, being a grandparent myself nvhc representatives say the decision was a though one, but in the end, the program just wasnt helping enough people to justify the cost. When you look at the amount of just those 1,000 ob patients. The program just wasnt sustainable nevada Health Centers in clark county, they will be closing the doors to patients trying to get into the obsetrics program on october third meaning new patients will have to look else where. But what about motherstobe who are currently using nvhc say theyre maybe a few months pregnant, we are working with partners locally to ensure that those patients are cared for. Theyre going to keep seeing current patients. Until decemeber 29th some in the Community Fear the en program could mean a more difficult time for clark county mothers. Its really devestating because we have babies here, so we have pregnant woman what are they gonna do. Nvhc said in a statement theyre focusing on helping patients find the right care and supporting providers and staff affected by the change. They also say they tried everything they could to keep the Program Running i think that every avenue was researched prior to this difficult decision being in the program will be able to talk one on one with some Health Center employees about Resources Available and what their care will look like looking forward.
