A Santa Clara County jury found a man guilty of murder in a decades old cold case. 64yearold ralph montenegro is already serving a 94yearold sentence for attacking a girlfriend and 2yearold daughter in 2006. Now prosecutors say dna evidence has linked the former firefighter to the 1991 killing of 26yearold julie bacalo. The jury found montenegro guilty of first degree murder with special circumstances, burglary and attempted rape. Officials are looking into four suspicious fires at a vacant middle school.
