surrounded the co-obama campaign doors waving their signs. by 9:00, he walked out and said they sent a message to obama. >> for obama to comment -- also to ensure that soldiers' human rights are respected in the future. >> that letter he says was written by veterans in the bay area, la and portland, oregon. protesters brought signs and demonstrated near city hall. >> the ray relationship was endorsed by about 10 different groups and probably have more people representing more. >> the campaign head quarters has been locked up. i have calls into oakland police to find out what charges the protesters were arrested on. i was not received the answer. we will get that out as soon as we receive that information. ktvu, news. >> a live picture from outside police head quarters. a small group marched down broadway and in front of oakland police head quarters at 7th and broadway, not far from jack london square. a gunman shout and killed a man in a drive-thru lane of a kfc restaurant in east oakland. it happened about 6:20. a man driving a green luxury suspects -- lexus drove his car across the street before it crashed into a building. they performed cpr but he was dead on the scene. at this point there is no information about the the shooter or the identity of the driver. the search for a missing boy is resouping tomorrow at yosemite -- rezoom -- resuming tomorrow. >> rescue teams spent the day looking for the six year old boy, along with his brother, on a hiking trip, stopped to cool their feet off. >> we don't know what happened but both got swept into the river. >> the 10 year old was pulled out down stream by an off duty firefighters. he did cpr but it was too late. >> today the boy's family from la posted missing person signs i'veing the boy. rangers say the mother was hospitalized but didn't say why. >> they actually went into some of the bigger pools that were safe for them to go into and dove down. >> park rangers say unlike other fatal incidents here, the two boys did not ignore warning signs. >> it's a question of judgment and although it seems you are putting your feet in, although that may be fine, but if you go in further, you can get swept away. >> everybody rests there and takes pictures of the falls and it's a wonderful place to have a rest so you just have to watch your children. it's very sad. >> search teams continue until night fall and they will resume tomorrow morning. in seven minutes the death of a man linked to a popular lodging site in yosemite. firefighters are getting the upper hand on a small wild firefighters in elder radiculopathy dough county -- elderraddoa. it's unking south of diamond springs. we are told the fire has burned 35 acres and 60% contained. they say one out building was damaged and voluntary ievac abbreviations were issued for that -- evacuations were issued for that area. they expect full containment by this sunday. they say the fire is 85% contained and has not grown in size today. the fire so far has burned about 8,000 acres. an evacuation order for the last of those people was lifted this morning. here firefighters managed to knock down a small fire late this afternoon before it reached a religious retreat in the hills here. because of the location, ground crews had a difficult time getting to the fire. aircrews were dropped in to fight the fire from above. we're told no homes are threatened. >> about 80 east bay residents attended a meeting to discuss last week's fire at the chevron refinery and the health implications. about 11,000 people have reported symptoms from their exposure to fumes and smoke following that fire. one resident told us that she is hoping some positive change will come out of tonight's town hall meeting. >> the boy area expects to have new him today. tonight yosemite officials are trying to convince the public that this village is safe, after a 37 year old man died from the disease that is contracted through mice droppings and urine. the victim has not been identified but is expected to survive. a man accused of killing a homeless women in san jose on monday made his first court appearance. this man is accused of killing the 17-year-old. her body was found off of skyline boulevard in december of 1986. investigators say he had -- she had atented a party and was hitchhiking home. dna linked kelley to her death. he is set to tension shape. as we start lifting on the cables it's going to be pulling down on the main cable and shrinking the deck as well. >> so many people will be doing so many things the next three months, this kind of moisture from the trop pips, this -- tropics, this time this far north, it's unable air. so the moisture works its way north and this is what the model sees. you see the activity up in the hills. in the bay area, be prepared, and watch it close. it's not a long shot but it's out there but you have to mention it when you have these kind of clouds this far north and the days are long
