♪ hi, everybody, i am beth troutman and we have the best videos of the day and the stories behind them "right this minute." video shows a driver kick a student off the bus. literally. >> in fact, that was an 8-year-old autistic girl. the shocking reason cops say the driver just lost it. three hikers stranded on a snowy mountain get bad news. >> those hikers had to spend the night. >> why a rescue was so risky and how crews finally pulled it off. an officer chasing a suspect comes to an intersection. >> he doesn't want the guy to get away. >> how the officer is the one that doesn't get away. and a zoo baby so cute it is crazy. >> the reason i want to get out there and roll around. >> no. >> more rolling than this lady. >> we're going to get things started with video just released. this is a school bus in hillsborough county, florida, in the middle of the screen you're seeing the school bus driver according to reports, stephanie wilkerson. watch this moment here. >> oh. >> ouch. >> kicked someone off the bus. >> she kicked an 8-year-old student off the bus. in fact, that was an 8-year-old autistic girl. when this girl was kicked off the bus by wilkerson she ended up breaking her ankle according to reports. >> this driver should have had special considerations for this kid. >> it all happened on september 28th of 2012, but the state attorney's office just released the video so that the public could see what happened. wfts says that she was terminated from the position. she is also according to some reports facing aggravated child abuse charges. >> what was this bus driver thinking? >> from the things i read on this particular case they said that she was mad at the little girl because the little girl had slapped her and hit her when she was asking her to wait her turn and again that is just according to the reports that are out on this. we haven't been able to confirm that on our own. >> aren't you trained? don't you know better than that? >> because of this incident a task force was put together. >> they proposed more training needs to happen for people that come in contact with special needs students. >> she can't handle the frustrations of her job, she shouldn't have the job. one of the highest points in britain and hikers love to climb it. three scottish hikers got stuck up there and you're looking at video from the rescue attempt. >> blizzard conditions, nearly a white out and the hikers had to spend the night in these conditions to wait for it to get clear enough for a rescue attempt to be made. a rescue attempt was made the next morning at 7 a.m. and a helicopter made three trips to take 18 rescuers to get up there and to help these people, and eventually the hikers were found. they used rope and ladders to get them to a lower point on the mountain because, again, look at the conditions here where they're being lifted. if you're flying, you can't tell the difference between the mountain, the clouds and the sky. as you can see, they get to a point in the mountain where somebody is able to rappel down and get them up into the helicopter. >> it is so difficult to watch them. you know how miserable the last few hours for them were. look at this person. they have snowpacked on the hiking gear. how much of that is really water repellent after being in the snow that long?
