Reporter ntsb officials said firefighters had quote a short window of opportunity to rescue a 16yearold before she was run over by First Responders. Reporter the teenager was seen by several firefighters, believed to have been deceased and therefor they did not begin triage. Communicate with incident command if there are bodies or people in need. Reporter the report indicated two special multi casualty incident buses loaded with medical gear and equipped did not come to the site. This interpretation allows for a situation in which an Incident Commander lacks the training of his subordinants. Paramedic supervisors at the airport are now on duty round the clock and First Responders are being addressed. Were very pleased with the ntsb investigation. They were extremely thorough. And a 24yearold, 24 year veteran firefighter filed a suit last month against San Franciscos Fire Department khraeuling claiming she was used as a scapegoat when a fire truck ran over that teen. An oakland firefighter was injured after a fire truck that he was driving overturned. The accident happened on a taxi way. The accident happened while the truck was making a turn. The trucks are designed specifically for use at airfields. And have a price tag of more than 1 million. An airport spokeswoman says the accident did not affect airport traffic and all flights are on schedule. The results of an audit on the uc campuses are in. A man and a pregnant woman in the south bay say they were tased and hit with a hammer today. The female victim whos pregnant told police she was tased on the hand. He avoided arrest by jumping in. He reportedly floated about. 25 mile downstream before he was finally caught. He was treated for hypothermia before he was arrested. The Council Voted to approve a moratorium on marijuana suspensions. However there are about 80 in the city of san jose. The county is concerned that some of those cannabis clubs might want to move to unincorporated areas after city limits go into effect. County Officials Say they want to have regulations in place in case that happens but they dont want an outright ban. We had a will the of holes line up this time. We had a pilot that was new on this airplane. We had an instructor who was new as an instructor, we had fatigue. The pilots relied too much on the automation and were flying too low and too slow when a plane slammed into the sea wall. Though the ntsb made 15 recommendations in the wake of the sfo asiana flight which ones will be adopted and by whom is still very much up in the air. And we go to tom vacar who looks into what went wrong. Reporter ntsb recommendations to asiana are just that, recommendations. Even the federal Aviation Administration can only hope asiana complies. Asiana has no to comply to train. Reporter and the ntsb recommendation is recommending Pilot Training, pilot compliance, instructor qualifications, oversight of instructions, strict auto pilot rules and more hands on flying. It further suggests changes to crew operation manual not just to the 777 but all its light body aircraft. On pleased, boeing issued a statement saying boeing respectfully disagreed with the ntsb statement that the 777 auto flight contributed to this accident. That said every airline and aircraft maker needs to listen to and adopt some of the recommendations because those who dont will face extreme questioning in court if another accident with asiana should happen.
