We typically go to san rafael to help with their ceremony but this year he wanted to begin this tradition. 600 veterans are layed to rest at that cemetery. A ceremony followed which included the placing of wreaths and musical tributes. Speechers included the city leaders speakers included the city leaders. A wreath procession, a rifle salute and the playing of taps. 3,000 flags were placed at grave sites. The event was organized by santa clara county. Supporters of lauras law say it is possible that such a measure would have helped prevent the shootings in isla vista. She was 19 years old when she was shot to death in 2001 by a mental mentally ill man. Last week her parents visited San Francisco where leaders are considering enacting the law. The point of lauras law is to intervene before tragedies like this happen to help those who are most vulnerable that cant help themselves. Critics say it stereotypes the mentally ill. The issue goes before voters in the fall. Uc Santa Barbara set up a fund in honor of the students who lost their lives. Now they believe ebb the shooter knew believe the shooter knew the victim and the victims were targeted when he followed them and opened fire.
